Few Turbo Videos

Well starting to get on the throttle a little more than before but not quite WOT yet. The inside videos are only about 1/2-3/4 throttle. The outside ones am running it a bit harder. Hopefully have some 1/4 mile videos in the next few weeks, just need to figure out my work schedule with the track schedule.

That first video looks like a car commercial....a subtle voice saying "The all new reengineered Chevy Z24 Turbo"

Lol good job man now get a metal gasket and some copper spray

Car is working great but I just noticed my left front tire is looking a little low on tread. I guess 2nd gear isn't helping much. Pretty happy with the spool up. 10psi @ 3700rpm. Peak psi is at 4200rpm which I just noticed is 14.9psi and then it falls to around 12.5psi at 6600rpm. Peak whp is @ 6250rpm @ 13.2psi. I find the tial bov louder than I expected it to be.

That is my PCV vent...since I have changed my head gasket it doesn't do that anymore for some reason. Maybe I was getting more blow by, not really sure though. I may invest in a catch can at some point.

As for the racoon, I picked up some HID's. Hopefully blind the little bastards if anything.

Ditch the altezza tail lights and this car will be PERFECT. Love the sound and that thing definitely has some kick!

I'm running the HO manifold. I'm not familiar with the stock one for the 2.4 or what they will handle. There are usually HO manifolds in the classifieds, maybe try that.

what motor do you have and if you have the LD9 how much of a pain in the ass was the HO manifold
Re: Few Turbo Videos

I don't think it was much of a problem. The one I got was all ready for the 2.4 anyways. As are many of the ones for sale on here.

Well on a sad note...head gasket blew again. So I guess it will be the cometic gasket with spray and 85ft/lbs on the studs. Guess I'll have to wait till next year to drive the car again and get it to the track.

I also have a STOCK plastic intake and have been pushing 17LBS of boost for about 1.5 yrs now and NO PROBLEM at all from the intake ...
