I dont understand in the least what the benefit, if any of this 'mod' is- but i see it on civics/ teggys ALL DAY LONG here in Connecticut; That being said- I have never seen it on this site.
I had the day off from work, and a box of washers and decided to have at it.
The fitment is garbage. Hood wont even close all the way- But i figure that if people can throw photos of their cardboard body kits up here just to make people laugh, Then so can I.
As i said in the OP. This was NOT permanent. It was for PURE AMUSEMENT.

The plate in the window, has actually been there since i bought the car. I have never, and hopefully WILL never have to run a plate on my front bumper. I think that they completely destroy the lines/ integrity of ANY vehicle.

Technically Connecticut requires one, but i have yet to be pulled over in this car.

It took me an hour, on a BEAUTIFUL, 80 degree day, out in the driveway to put a box of washers under my hood hinges to snap some photos and laugh at myself-

If i get flamed for having a legitimately good time, and enjoying the first nice day of the season; then i don't think I'M the one with the problem.
And I think the purpose, whether or not it works I don't know, is sort of like the "cowl induction" hoods/scoops" that are available.
It's just a cheap, half-assed way of trying to achieve it. IMO

yes to an extent. it is to get the hot air out of the engine bay. there is a purpose. just like the cambered tires fad. it was actually used to clear wider tires and keep them in the fender wells.

fair enough. i gotta say though i'm a little disapointed. i for one was excited to see them vette wheels on a cav.
