Here is some artwork with an airbrush of my own from this year in school.

I did this around Christmas, for my Finacee'. In College her nickname was "animal". She absoloutly loved it!

Finished product.

A Fender we worked on early in the year.

I don't mind doing work for people at all. Just remember these are the first projects i've done. I've got a full load right now and no time for anything but My car & my bike this moment. (School ends June 28th, have to get both painted before then). But after it's done and i have some free time, I surely don't mind doing work. As long as you provide materials or money for said materials for the work, I'd do it.

She went to Evansville, she was a PT major and got scholarships through her athletics in swimming. She still holds quite a few records at the school! We live in Cincinnati, though.

lol Well, Emily is a swimmer, and she's always been a bigger girl than any of the other swimmers. She's a beast though, she's quick as hell when she swims. The whole joke began in college from her friends, that when she's on the blocks getting ready to start the start sounds plays, she's always the last one off of the blocks (no matter what) but those 1.3 seconds she leaps from the blocks to the pool she's like an animal. Some said she looked like Animal drums. lol So the nickname stuck. I wanted to give her something personal, for when she rides our Honda bike that she has a helmet that no one else will have.

Yeah the welding company, not sure what happened there. The welding marks were actually to cover up 2000 grit sand through, had to duplicate on both sides. Came up w/ the weld bead idea to not have to fully repaint. Then i liked it, and thought i should have done it around all of the joints. lol

As for the fender, it was actually a graded project, after market Cavalier fenders are the cheapest to buy, coincidentally. We had to body work dents out w/ our hammers and dolly's, fill, prep, primer, paint, clear, wet sand & buff. Then after that he keyed our fenders QQ.. (previous to the artwork, was plain white). after that was spot repaired we had to cut a patch panel out, and butt or lap weld it in. Then were graded on our final product. Actually all of the airbrushing work done in this, was done with water-based paint you'd buy at michaels or hobby lobby. Just to see if it would work, and it did!

How are you with skulls? I'd be interested in having you do a little work on some interior panels for me...

Haven't tried, then but always willing to learn something new. Send me some examples of what your looking for, so i can base an idea off of it and maybe to some test panels for you

Got the candy base and 1st cover coat of clear done.
This is the peices for my 2000 Shadow VLX, along witn my helmet, painting to match.

Here's what i got done tonight, the first step of the air brushing i'll be doing. Layed down a black, to allow the color shifting Purple>Green pearl to pick up well, as well as the copperhead pearl. I also have an electric lime green metallic i'll be shading in as well.

Mmmmmm Pearl....

So this got some tonight. 90% done, have some touch up work here and or there. These pics honestly do not do it justice.

This is all with no clear, mind you. And the lettering on the 2 side cover peices that will read "VLX" when i'm done.
I'm so pleased with how these turned out, I can't wait to see them in clear and buffed!

Purple/Green Pearl
Copperhead pearl accents
Electric Lime Green Metallic accents

Well here's 3/4 of the parts, final product. They still need wet sanded and buffed, but with the clear, you can defiantly get the idea!

Please do let me know what you think. The theme for the airbrushing work was a snake.

Really bright outside pics in daylight.

Inside pics, less brightness and glare.

The tank and mirrors aren't finished yet. Having a lifting problem on the tank, which is annoying. Looking to get it worked out this week possibly.

Thanks Matt! Appreciate the compliment!

I'm putting the bike together now, all except the tank, someone knocked it off the stand and gave it a nice dent.. so i have to repaint it after the body work. The rest is done, awaiting buffing and assembly.

I'll def post some great pics of it when i'm done, if we can buy a Sunny day here in Cincinnati! heh
