So, I have always known about this car from back in the day, except the fact of what was under the hood. What was so special about it everybody is raving about?

Yes, it was. It was the first production turbo kit from Speedcraft. Actually the direction that Speedcraft used, had this car in it.
You could buy that kit from RK Sport @ one time

I was considering getting it for a daily driver, actually, since I saw it was still in the Classifieds last week
Evan I refused to sell you the car a couple years ago, so what makes you think I would sell it too you now, or last week?
Yes it was one of the first if not the first SpeedCraft Turbo kits. Non intercooled. SpeedCraft happened to be in Orange Park which is a few miles from Middleburg which is where I went to school.
Jim Trevino and Karl Kopp actually helped SpeedCraft get the deal with RKSport. I was told it made 224whp on a stock bottem end, but he had head work and cams.
Motor was later built but Rosch Racing with Ross piston's, crank was supposely knife edged, etc... Jim also had one of the first sites with how to's on mods etc... I remember when I first started out going to his site to learn things. His was also one of the first heavy modified cars for J's.
I always say Jim and Karl are the grandfathers of the J's.

um, how did you refuse to sell it to me? I made a comment about wanting to swap it to stick, you said you wanted to see it stay the way it was. end of story. the difference now is that I'd have left it the way it's been for all these yrs. don't be such a condescending prick about it
