Nice, welcome to the family
But gotta ask one question, how come the top looks weird. Maybe just the angle of the camera, but something about it just donesnt look right lol. Meh, maybe just me. Newho, nice!
mike there are two different tops for jbodies.. the ones we have are a one piece design. the 95-mid into 98 i think, use a 3 piece design.

Yeah as far as i know the top was stock. Car was bought from my dads boss for 1750. was a good car for 2 years. 80 miles a day took it toll on it....
ALT went out the the digital dash went mad! Then the Mass air flow went bad car idled rough. Then bought a 96 pathfinder for 500 bucks couldn't pass it up so the car sat for a few months. (yes the car was stared ever other day) The found my 04 ls and traded it in. on the way to the dealer the exhaust fell off and bent under the car. lol . So basically the car covered the tax for the 04.
Car was a 2.8 f1 Rs
Keep in mind that i had no idea that this site existed back about a year ago when i had this car. And i did not sell it to get the 97. They were brought and sold a year apart from each other.
Cant really see but there is a huge hole in the back window as well.
I have the one piece, but my top was replaced. Looks a lot better than the three piece. And Meh, the first gens don't do anything for me, I've only seen one coupe I liked, the rest are rather ugly. Throw a Z24 kit on the 97 and have fun with it.

Lol, you will learn to love duct tape
Or you can find one of them as a parts car like I did, and just replace the whole top/mechanism. Its actually really easy.
Double-sided tape and plastic worked when we had the car.
Check my new post out if you like American muscle!!!!

He was talking about the top on the 87. If I remember correctly, his 97 had the top replaced recently.
