I don't post pictures here much anymore but this I thought I'd share.

I get a lot of crap for not having boost in my car (nitrous kit is sitting at home and still has never made it to the car)
The only thing done to mine for "power" is an intake and dual exhaust from the axle. Nothing else for performance, and frankly, I just don't care to add it to a Cavalier. I've lost a lot of interest in the car so I have just been doing things every now and then.

So anyway. My clear coat has been pealing for years. And once I sanded it I realized it wasn't going to matter how great I sanded/painted it on my own, because it needed professional help, and I wasn't willing to spend $150+ on just a roof for paint. I plan on getting it cleared later on, but here it is.
The second I saw this sticker, I knew I had to have it, and I knew this was going to be fun.















So now I just added 265 HP to my car, for $61. Personally, I think it's funny and I really like it.

wait, so u spend 61$ on stickers, when for 89$ more u coulda had it professionally painted?
not hating, but im just trying to get the logics behind this idea lol!

u said u are loosing interest in the car, so most ppl sell when they get this point,
when you honestly think about it. trying to sell a car with a sanded down roof with
stickers all over it [otherwise a pretty nice car for someone to buy/continue on building]
will be so many times harder to sell than one with nice mostly decent paint. IMO i woulda
saved up the extra 89$ and got it painted the right way instead of spending over 60$ on stickers!

also, if you sanded down the clear for them good as u did, they prolly would have charged u less
to paint that area,as u did some of the hardest/most time consuming part of paint prep for them..

just sayin.

Really friggin' stupid IMO... You can spend all that money on the body kit, rims, JDM tails and ram-air hood, but you can't spend $150.00 to paint your roof? Or at least buy some rattle cans of paint and clear, lay it down and wet sand/polish yourself?

I have that 50th anniversary ron jon sticker too Got a handful of them in florida.

your roof would have been easy to paint. cant really mess up painting black. lol you did the prep work all you had to do was buy the paint they sell in cans. OEM color matched

the problem with painting just roof is that it'll show the age of the rest of the paint.. and if I remember correctly, the rear quarters need paint as well. I think it was a funny idea for the time being, but honestly, I'd save and paint the whole car since at the very least, the rear half of the car needs it

I'm all for doing what you want to your car, but if your hard up on cash for paint why blow money for all the dam stickers when you could've just rattled it for cheaper untill you could have it repainted?
