This is how the story ends
Saturday, February 19, 2011 4:50 AM
A couple weeks ago, some a-hole made a left turn directly in front of me like i wasn't even there. I swear, some people should be castrated for their stupidity.

I picked up a 2004 sunfire as a replacement.

I don't think I have ever seen your J before. Sucks that happened, but at least the part you put all the time into was not scraped.

on the plus side you are getting away from the down syndrome headlights.

Before crash (older pics):

The engine and pretty much everything salvageable are or will be out by tonight. Pretty much nothing is going to waste down to the carpet. The new sunfire will get it's own thread in due time; but i'm still unsure of which route it's going. I can tell you I have the boost bug, but i'm not making any decisions until spring, when the weather is decent for working on cars, my head is clear, and most of my spare parts are liquidated for sure. As it is I have sold or have potential buyers for everything i want to sell, so I am thankful to this community and friends for needing the parts that i wanted to sell lmao!

The estimate was $7k to fix it. That includes both airbags, headlights, a windshield, the obvious body panels/bumper, as well as necessary frame repair. The bright side of them totaling it is that i got a very fair value for it even after buying it back and essentially traded up so to speak to a car that is just as clean and has less miles and more options. No doubt is a pain in the arse to go through, but it's working it self out.

Sorry man, it's long gone. Honestly, every last part that i wanted to sell (or even didn't know i wanted to sell) is either paid or spoken for now.

Lol, this would be the nice way of saying we're all a bunch of part hoarders (proven by 90% of your interior being stuffed in the back of Beaty!).

Always sucks to see stuff like this, espcially when its caused by someone's stupidity. The new sunflower looks nice though, I'll be excited to see how plans pan out for it.

And I agree, stupid people should be castrated, as they always breed like rabbits, lol!

Hahaha!! I'm not sure which was worse, beaty with the interior, or Manny's sedan with a rear bumper and pad, four wheels, side skirts and a fender!
