Finally got my new intercooler in, and on my car. Any bigger, and I would have had to cut out my bumper support some. And that is something I definitely don't want to do. It sits a couple inches lower than before, but if I'm careful I shouldn't have any problems with it. Considering my old generic EBay tube and fin intercooler flowed well enough to 300+ horsepower, this one should be more than enough for my goal of 400.
Also, my old intercooler was spraypainted flat black to kind of hide it from view. On this one I said screw it, and am letting it shine for everyone to see!

couple things.

a. looks way too low and out of place sticking down like that. why not cut the bumper support?
b. how much bigger is this one vs your old one?

Love the new intercooler, not loving how low it sits, I'd be worried about slamming it on everything.

I agree that it is too low. You can get an intercooler with a thicker core or maybe mount the intercooler at an angle like some race cars do. I do not plan on cutting my core support either so I am looking at intercoolers at least 3" thick

love the part. hate the execution.

Intercooler looks nice. I think its too low though. Just chop up that support. Theres plenty of meat there.

I'm sorry but that just looks horrible, as mentioned cut the bar and move the FMIC up to tuck under the front bumper or get one that is shorter in height but thicker if you do not want to cut the support.

I dragged a hole in mine mounted that low. A replacement one pissed me off. $180 for mounting it too low. New one is mounted a few inches higher. Cut my bumper to fit.
