Mine hangs off the shock tower, wires ran underneath brake booster to between the cam towers. I want to relocate my coils to the power steering pump, but my turbo filter is in the way.

coils are actually going to be moved forward slightly in order to make room for the new header.
thanks for the pics....if their are more ppl who have the setup and wanna show it by all means.......
as for mounting plates i assume most if not all of you are just "fabbing" your own. what metal material would you recommend using ?

Ya I have a lot of work this summer but I'm using the factory intake and a gt30
a lot of people I've seen use the 2200 monuting plate. That's how my eco was setup. It fits the studs on the firewall perfect if you go my route. But I had to have a heat shield for the coils. It had heat tape under it as well. Its an ok swap location if your n/a but hopefullly your gonna be using that damn turbo and fetter header! You better...jew... haha

my old setup
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Changed the coil packs from MSD to Electromotive (I believe they're matched pairs from a Buick GN).

wow everyone has a nice looking setup...now i feel bad about my engine bay lol but here it is
Fluffy got a write up on your swap? Any performance improvement? Oh bad ass jetter.
Sounds like I need to get some people my 2200 coil pack things I got back in the day with a few inch of wires and some coils. Someone needs one e-mail me IVRINGS@yahoo.com or TRDCavFire@yahoo.com
these are some amazing setups and i really appreciate you all posting them
one quick ? thou are you using a generic MSD spark plug wires IE cut to length yourself type of deal or buying a premade kit ?
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
I went through a set of both MSD and Taylor wires (yes, universal, cut to length) because the Electromotive puts out so much voltage/amperage. Finally had to spring for a set of Magnecor #45143's.

Ya no problem. pin plug for ICM (NAPA EC144 or AcDelco PT787), the part number for the connector to plug in the icm (I didn't use one because I had junk coils I cut up for the connector)
soo crap diagram...
basically... if your using the msd coil spacer things(p/n 8870)...(but i just realized you have to anyway and no using the 2200icm will not work for us since our cam sensor is not a cam sensor...)
the coil + wire from the 1-4 coil goes to pin 5(6 in the diagram), the coil + wire from 2-3 goes to pin 3(4 in the diagram) and the 12v source from both coils are to pin 4(5 in the diagram)
you will get a check engine light from the newly lost csi pickup... there is no way around it, that is the cam signal too btw....
Its a great mod if you don't mind a cel, you can swap to the factory coils for inspections if needed, I used the factory gap specs for the plugs. i could never actually get a chance to figure out the performance difference because i blew my diff at the track when i was comparing it to a oe coil setup. that being said, the car seemed to rev happier it change the exhaust note and sounded a little more powerful (buttdyno was nearly inconclusive haha). thanks but thats not my jetta (i wish) soon enough though, i have a vr6, 2 t25 garretts, msd coil bracket and msd dis2 box, and soon... very soon it will be a monster

When using the saturn cam sync generator part there is no P0340 code on an eco that is. Plug gap should be slightly opened up when using a MSD.
