wasn't going to post till after performance world, but what the hell, started some tinkering at x-mas Wont be as good a thread as last years, did have plans to pull the motor, 5speed swap, tub and shave her up but delaying that for a bit, my boss is retiring so me and our painter will be taking over owner ship of the shop, so i don't really want to get into a project like that right now, also getting the shelby ready for the T.O auto show, might get to it closer to the summer, but next winter i'll wanna go banna's if i don't get deep into my caddi.
At the moment if i'm spending good $ it will be on the bronco
rear panel sunk a bit over the summer.
now clear sanded again to remove texture...waiting last coat of clear.
1st mock up of tank
final size
waiting last coat of clear.
How do you marbleize paint like that? Like how does it work?
And it looks awesome by the way. Awesome.
I like the suttle arrow looks good.

I'm guessing he uses the saran wrap technique.
The progress looks great. Is the rear deck for an amp? I like how you stuck the pontiac logo in there. Nice attention to detail. Thats one of those things that not many people will notice, but looks sick when you get a little closer.
I love it bro! Always a fan of your work!
I like it, but i think you should have rabbited(correct term?) the outer edges of the mdf speaker rings.
Oh and i spy Got2BeGT's doors in the background....
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
Thought about routering the edges of the speaker pods, but in the end, when the fiberglass and bondo is all ontop of it....it really wont be all that noticable. And yes, that center portion is for his 4ch. amp that will power all of his speakers, and his 2/1ch. is attached to the back of his sub box for his subs.
This is what I did while Gary did up my doors. (but I did stop to help him with cooling the wleds with the air nozzle lol)

Well thats convenient. Awesome work guys.
Very nice additions Gary. Can't wait to see what else u got going on.
I want to move in the middle and live 7 houses away from each of you.
Good stuff Gary. is the rear deck going to be blue, black, or plaid?
marblizer is always cool.. Am currently doing a whole harley in it for a customer.. well half, its a two tone
Lovin the rear deck, I was thinkin on doin the same with my Hifonic 6x9's, I had a buddie do it in my last Cavalier, the deck was mint but he rush the swede rap( heated the glue with a heat gun) and it was garbage after the sun hit it so I think I'll do it myself so it won't get rushed
Skr8 Goodz in tha hood
nothing really cool to show but got some real primer on the tank...hopefully some paint early this week
thinking the rear deck will go blue paint. I wanted to wrap it plaid but i don't think i got any left. i'll be wrapping the rear deck thats currently in the car in pink plaid to match the rest of the wifeys interior so she'll have a 3rd brake light again.
love your car man i will prob be copying you on that rear deck good idea
shiny time.
going to wet sand and polish the filler panel but its as far as i'm going.
caps finished
1st coat on tank, going to let it sit for a few days sand and re-clear.
looks great. but i have a question. wouldn't welding the rods to the tank make weak spots in the tank and possibly cause a failure? just wondering because i've talked to a couple very experenced welders and they have always told me not to unless i had to then have it tested? just hate to see the trunk go boom and not in a good way.
