Well, i've lately been thinking of four different schemes. Currently, i've got a two tone cavalier. Black on top, silver on bottom. Lately, i've been thinking of leaving the cf hood glossy, leaving the mirrors, pillars, roof, and trunk glossy, and then either flat/satin red on for the rest, or even flat blue, or maybe even flat purple.
Another idea i've been tossing is doing a satin black with full gloss black wheels, and thats it. The windows are dark, so they'll accent the wheels fine. Maybe gloss clear the tail light panel or something.
This is going to be done with a base coat, then satin clear, so no rattle can crap. If you've rattle canned any of these colors and they look good, then entertain us! This is mainly to see different flat colors... i.e. green, purple, red, blue, orange, yellow, white, etc.
i lol'd hard at that, what is that though? i could use that at work for some people

CAR IS FOR SALE...Saab Kit, GM Reflash, 10 psi
You ruin the fun.
I don't like to read.
Besides nobody here has a flat fruity pebble Cavalier, keep it clean.
Why would you want to ruin that car?
Joe Schulte, your pretty funny. Dont come at me like that ever again though. That type of thing is uncalled for. I've been in the J game for too long. I've seen EVERY post of flat cars on this website, but 98 percent of them looked like rattle can crap. Not something im looking for.
I know what you're sayin brad, but after having this paint for over 5 years, and having two black/silver mexi'd out cav clones cruising around south omaha, its getting old. Thanks for the pics! I forgot about those.. This is my vehicle. It's been paid off for years, It's starting to rust a bit on the lower 1/4's, and after I do the body work, Id like to put the car in another direction. I like flat paints, wait, LOVE flat paints. Can I dare to be different? Sure. Should I make it look like everyone else's cav? nah. I think flat colors give the car a very agressive look.
Again, I've seen flat greens, browns, tans, reds, blues, oranges, pinks, yellows, etc. Just wondered if anyone has done this yet, in the J community. Below is a picture of what i'd like to do. Granted, the black accents on the gtr looks ridiculous, there's just something about the red.

AGAIN, not specifically black. And AGAIN, I'd like to see if "ANY J'S" have done anything other than black. I've seen those vw's, except, I dont have a vw, I have a cavalier, and would like to get a tad better idea. Just seeing how the lines look with flat colors.

If you have seen every post of every car with flat paint on this site and know that they all look like crap why did you make a post asking to see them?

Dont have to be a cock. Just trying to help.
The response was even better! Sticky this thread.
And btw, matte paints on economy cars look like faded paint or primer. GL

Matt-I dont get on this site much these days, so I'm sure i've missed the hype, but thats a pretty nasty looking car! I've tossed ideas of different things I could airbrush, but just dont really know. Things like painting the car an olive-ish sating green, and then airbrushing black rivets, or something maybe "tank" like, or even some kind of military theme. I've also pondered satin silver, with the rivet idea, and kind of make it look like old war plane or something. Dunno.
Im actually just tired of it being "pretty" if you will, and just want to jack around and have some fun with the paint.
Sundownfire, didnt mean to come that way, but unfortunately jerkoff responses piss me off. I was asking valid questions and found a pretty cool car that I had not seen. This is what I was talking about. Perhaps it was somewhere in that thread, but I guess I was blinded by flat black paint streaks, reading the word "spray paint". There were a few clean ones. Satin paints are my thing, I want to see any variations that I can, and I have seen one so far in this thread, on a cavalier.
I wouldnt mind seeing more results, and less typical high school pussy babbling, and showing off.
