agreed. looks great. but for the welding that was done for the charge pipes, the exhaust would have been easier to tig.

This is what I thought as well.
What size turbo is that? I have the same STR manifold and I cant fit a damn 50 trim on it without it hitting the cam tower. I even tried a 3/8" and 3/4" spacer and cant get it to clear.
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
- The turbo is a TO4E 57 trim with a stage 3 turbine. We had to shave a little off the turbo to get it to clear. I did buy a spacer but we were able to get away without using it.
- As for the exhaust I wasn't sure how the crush bends would turn out but the 2.5" I had on my car previously were crush bent and worked fine for me and I didn't have any access to mandrel bends at the time. I had to order my charge pipes from Florida and they weren't cheap so I decided to go with the crush bends. They guy was able to fab all the exhaust up in his shop and it saved me some money and regardless I will reach my goal with the crush bends anyways. In the perfect world mandrel bends would be ideal but for the sake of 250-300whp I don't think it will make any difference, probably would have been fine with the 2.5" I had on before just thought the 3" would help with spooling.
- Still a few more odds and ends to finish up but hoping in the next few weeks the car will be even closer to being done. Still gotta pick up a smaller honda battery to fit as we had to relocate some things to get the charge pipes up through and I am debating on a catch can. Also ran out of room for the meth kit so that needs to be relocated as well. Other than that the car is pretty close to being ready to the dyno. My plan at this point is to tune it to around 250whp and break the car in on that and then have to wait and see what happens from there. 300whp is my ultimate goal for a while but have to see how things turn out.
try using a smaller washer bottle, might save you some grief in the long run with the charge pipe running around there, just a suggestion, hopefully you get it done before i head out west, i'd like to see how a turbo ld9 compares to a turbo eco

Thats actually the exact same turbo I have. Do you happen to ahve any pictures of the turbo mounted? Showing the space between the compressor housing and cam tower and maybe one showing the grinding that was done on the turbo?
Keep up the good work. Seeing this has inspired me to finish my car.

Your wheel doesn't rub that pipe when you turn??
There's a pic a few under the one you just posted and it shows the clearance. I haven't driven the car yet but there is plenty of room there, just from the angle of that pic it doesn't look like it.
Lookin good man, I'm looking forward to your turbo 1/4times.
I hope we get to go for a cruise this summer with both our cars functioning properly
At this point I would be excited to hook it to the back of the truck and get the GF to haul me around in it haha...but yes, I hope so too, should be a nice trip around the cabot trail. Ohh, and yeah it will be nice to smoke you at the track bahaha
But I get 2 lengths cause your lighter
looking good, i like the cleaness of your car
I get 10 lengths because your motor has 1.5X the displacement. Ha!
i get your front lip,.... because i want it.. lol
