I know I haven't posted pics of my 'vert in a long time... mostly because... wasn't really pic-worthy until recently...
So here ya go:
Big version, if you care:

I decided a long time ago to go more "sleeper" with it... no more TRD kit.. no more 17" rims.. no more big nasty spoiler.. so it's now wearing a stock 03-05 Z24/LS Sport kit.. with Toyota Cav fenders, Ebay headlights and painted in Mazda Velocity Red Mica. Future plans include properly tuning the L67 under the hood... swapping a Gen V blower for the stocker.. and, of course, gobs of nitrous. I want to see how much this 4T65E-HD will hold
Yes, the car is a mess... it's still covered in body shop dust, after sitting in "paint jail" for most of the summer months. There's no interior other than the dash and front seats. The driver's skirt isn't bolted on properly, so it's sagging a little low at the moment. All the belt-line molding is missing because the original tan vinyl top is about to go "bye bye!!" in place of a black cloth top, and then the windows will finally get tinted black to match. But with the nice sunny weather we had today, I just HAD to take it to work with me!!
John.
love that color for sure man. thats pretty sweet!
I'm just glad you still have the car!!

Glad to see she is still around, and you too.

ha ha...me too! I would love to see a front shot!
The kit is not going back on he sold it,he is keeping it clean. And he also sold the wheels,And will be running the ones that you see now..
And If I remember it has the IRS swap in the rear..
Car is looking great,Nice work.
John,
Thanks for the update. The work you've done always inspires me to not give up on my vert.
Sig'less since '02!
u backing up those torque stars? lol
car looks good.
Yes man glad to see you and your car is still around.
I like the theft deterrent
very nice! but a steering wheel lock really? i mean in all reality...its still a cavalier..lol
Auto theft is pretty bad where I work... despite being in a so-called 'secure' compound with our own police... things still go missing.
Sold the TRD kit.. extractor hood.. Z3 fenders.. spoiler.. rims.. not coming back either. Maybe some different rims in the future, but for now the GTP Torque Stars are all you get as a hint of the L67 under the hood.
The suspension is Eibach Pro-kit.. J-body springs in the front with N-body aluminum knuckles and control arms, Eibach sway bar, Koni reds and 12" C-body brakes (Park Ave Ultra.. the L67 donor car actually..)... 03 Alero IRS in the rear, with 11" disc brakes.. N-body springs, KYB struts, and a bigger PFYC sway bar. Handles like a dream... holds incredibly stable even with high speed tight turns
wow i like the tan top. i mite have to go that route next year.! but i need more pics john. one of my other plans i had for my droptop also. the 03-04 ls sport swap.
