Picked these up the other day off my buddy, part of the winter mods....figured I'd share.
Current tires on them are
25/8.7-13 M&H Drags, going to be swapping those out for a set of
22/8.0-13 M&H Drags. The wheels are Diamond Racing 13x8s.
The wheels aren't sitting 100% flush on the hubs in that photo since some grinding of the caliper is needed to clear the 13's, so thats why they look kinda crooked.
They will however only suck in maybe a half inch on the front facing side of the rim, the side nearest the back of the car is sitting on the hub.
Also for compairson is my 225/50-16 tires on Sunfire GT rims.
PS. Sorry for the quality, I took the pics with my phone.
Those Diamonds are TINY!
How much do they weigh with slicks?
Awesome dude, I cannot wait to see falling times from you, possibly the only NA eco guy out there.
I can't wait to throw up my updates thread, I get giddy just thinking of it.

Haven't weighed them but probably around 29-30 pounds. They feel they way a bit less than my current drag tires and they are 31 pounds.
haha, dirty slicks off Black Thunder.
nice man!

Time for some axle upgrades.....
I can't see stock ones lasting on a good launch with the meats !!
ugh the DSS axles I got were junk, fell apart in 6 months, stock ones lasted so long.

one of my favorite car's to watch progress on.

These are probably easier on axles than your drag radials. They are wrinkle walls so the tire takes alot of the shock off the driveline while launching.
That's why I'm going with a 13 and not a 15, I want the extra side wall on the tire to save drive line parts.
Thanks for the comments guys!
I'm surprised no one has given me @!#$ yet for grinding down my calipers lol
you're a dumbass for shaving your calipers... fcking retarded!!!
feel better?
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
LOL why? grind the bastards!!!!
and the whole OMGZ busting axles on slicks is a stupid myth. most of the ones that go bad or have issues are the junk $50 dollar ones you get at vato zone.
looks like something off a damn stock car man! hahahaha good deal, 1.6 60's ftw!

Your car is pretty much a race car anyways why would we start bitching now. Hahaha.
The .org loves to flame people tho....lol
Race Car? lol.....but I drove it to work all week, and I'm leaving after work today on a 15 hour round trip to visit my friend who recently moved.
Car is a dream to drive on the highway, a little loud sure...but I still prefer to drive my car on the highway than my Yukon.
LOL
so it has a few interior panels removed and a loud exhaust... doesnt make it a race car.
just makes it a street car that CAN race.
Underdog Racing
Id consider a car with a cut out and a mostly empty interior race car enough. Haha.
It actually had the stock muffler put back on now, quite sleeper.
Loudest thing in the interior now is all the wind and tire noise coming in from the trunk.
A street car that can race is a good way to put it hahaha
It's Sport Metalic Red!!! LOL
Hi Darren!
