well i put a new engine and trans in my 98 sunfire 3weeks ago, and it has panned out for me, so i decided to get another car, i picked this up for $1500, it a 2003 sunfire, 2 door 5 speed, with only 186xxxkms on it, and please ignore the scoops and bug deflector, they're comeing off as soon as the weather cooperates

yeah scoops are coming off within the next 2 weeks or so, and im not quite sure what to do with it first lol, it is getting the short throw shifter and my rims from my other sunfire, and my fart can for now till i get a job and can afford a better muffler, probly gonna tint the tail lights sometime this weekend, and im gonna start looking for some intakes and a header or something, who knows lmao

I would totally make those scoops functional lol, for some reason I kind of like em, never thought I would say that

Why not leave it alone till you can afford a better part and do it right the first time around?

Just a thought.

because i cant stand driving a quite car, it drives me nuts, and i may even keep the fart can if i like the way it sounds, it sounded good on the 2200

no fart cans...
seems like not too bad of a pickup though other than that one fender

I would be outside in a blizzard taking off those horrendous stick on hood scoops. There is no way I would drive that with those on there or that terrible mirror fade mexi-tint.

Otherwise looks like a good pick up!

i dont mind the tint so much, since money is tight the tint is staying lol, i should have more pics tomorow, of the short shifter installed and my 17's on it, if im not feeling lazy i may even wire my subs up

Remove the tint, bra, stick on hood scoops and window visors and you've got yourself a nice stock Sunfire. Please don't rice it out by putting a fart can on it. I also agree that you should save your money and use quality parts, rather than putting riced out @!#$ on it. Please don't ruin another perfectly good Sunfire.

well im putting the fart can on for now anyway, its not a huge one you can stick your head in either, im getting a new exhaust made this spring so its only gonna stay on till then, im gonna do the same with the tint, keep it till spring, the scoop and bug deflector are deffinatly coming off asap, and ive always liked the window visors, had them on my gold/black sunfire, but some prick decided it'd be funny to rip them off the car in the school parking lot

heres some pic i took earlier, i got the short shifter in and cleaned the interior a bit, still dirty, but much cleaner than it was, car came with a half decent poineer head unit too

ill have more pics tomorow,i put my rims on tonight, but was too dark for pictures when i got done putting them on

i sure hope this doesn't end up down the same route as your other one... so far its a good start. i agree with scott.. no type of weather conditions could keep me from leaving those scoops or tint on.. no tint is better than the tint that is on there.

nope, deffinatly not going the same route as my 98, when i repaint it, its going to be the same silver it is now, and i was busy today so no pics of my rims on the car, will tomorow for sure, also what color would you guys recomend for my drums/calipers? i wanna paint them, but dont really know what would look good on a silver car with black rims, plus i tinted the tail lights tonight, i think they look sweet, they need some clear coat now, any type of clear i should use? anything specific?

Take off the scoops, mexi/mirror tint, hood bra'bug deflector thing, mud flaps, and window visor things....NOW!!!!!!!

then after that, look into removing the air box in the fender by the windshield washer bottle, get urself a ebay intake, and your enjoy a nice sounds when ur on the gas. i agree with everyone else on the muffler, do it right the first time.

jeez people, gimme some time lol, the scoops and stuff are coming off soon, and i may be trading my stock intake system for an AEM CAI, the guys gonna let me know soon, and i took some pics of the car in the dark :l, not the best, but gives you an idea of what the rims look like on it

im taking my camera to school tomorow, so ill go out around town and take good pics of it during my free periods

paint those drums and calipers black. maybe silver on the calipers. other than that, you know what else needs to be done to it since everyone has pointed out the exact same things over and over.

Good start. But one question, whats up with the drivers side door?? Its either really dirty or the paint is mismatched. But either way, good start!

Nice, Im jealous of the low km eco coupe pick up. Dislike silver on these cars though.
Looks like its well on its way.
When you have a silver car, with black/ black and polished rims, you can paint your brakes any colour you want, as long as its black.
Intake/exhaust/ should all be done right the first time.
But if you are completely redoing the exhaust later... then sure...throw a can on it for the helluvit
And then, like my car, it needs to go lower, to tie it all together..

those wheels look like @!#$, bro.
The tires are WAY too thin. You could fit a person in those wheel wells.
