Ecotec auto to manual Swap turbo
Sunday, September 19, 2010 8:06 AM
Hello everyone

I started my cavalier project when i was 17 years old

I'm 24 years old now

i put the cavalier on hold for the last 4 years

to bring everyone up to speed , when i purchased the car back in 03' i had a 2200 automatic, after countless research i swapped an ecotec and manual trans

a short time after that i custom built a turbo kit for the car

car ran great
t28 turbo, custom manifold 2.5 inch exhuast, green top injectors, etc

the shop that did the work really messed up my fuel lines,

one day my car started leaking fuel,

i sent the car back to the shop and they ended up blowing up my engine

soon after that i just bought a 350z and left my cavalier parked for the past 4 years

now that my 350z is almost paid im starting the cavalier project up again ,

im starting the project back up in about a week

more pictures coming but first

im ripping out that body kit i have on it, and im going to go with the z24 lip kits all around

i bolting up my saab turbo kit,

im getting smaller rims

Does anyone know where i can get the following items

Amber corner lights
toyota tails and how do i install them

So it took about 4 days for me to get my car shipped from chicago

and inside i found a few photos
stock photo, from when i lived in Franklin Park, IL

Stock engine

from auto to manual

start of the engine shop

taking the engine out

finished swap ecotec auto to manual

bodykit im about to rip off

finished bodywork and engine swap,

ok, so to bring everyone up to speed i blow my engine, cracked my rims and cracked a part of my bodykit off
once i did that i parked the cavalier and drove to the dealer and just bought a 350z
4 years latter im almost done paying the 350z off

im living in florida now, i just had the cavalier shipped to florida and im about to start the turbo ecotec project again

this is how it looked when it got here after sitting in a garage in chicago for almost 4 years

my 350z and my cavalier soon to be turbo again

3. i put some gas treatment and some fuel injector cleaner
4.i put gas 5 gal, 93 octane
5.new air filter
6.new die hard battery

--- the Problem

the car is not turning over

the lights turn on,
but my alarm system keeps going crazy, and the stock theft system light on the dash is on

I dont have the alarm keychain to turn it off

there is no transponder key in the cavs as per Fluffy

Yeah just turn the key to the on position. For 10 to 11 mins. The theft light will flash and turn off. Turn the ignition to off then try to start it. That's how u do it but I don't know if that's your problem. Gl.

From what he said he doesnt have remote to turn off alarm so the car will never start need to disable alarm.
