The Unveiling of Project ZDD2010 by Matt McLeod

First off before we get to the pictures, I want to send out a huge thank you to my girlfriend Joanna... my family for support, and Justin Bumstead for not only putting up with my wrench throwing, cursing, yelling frantically when things weren’t working, coming home at 3am and being at work for 7am and not seeing me for days or even weeks.

The car is sponsored by JVC Canada, and is their demo car for this year and next year.
BASF Paint sponsored for materials
Vince Goodeve air brushing... just amazing work
Val at Baby Doll Performance for the interior wrapping.

Now since this is a direct link to my build thread, I wanted to separate the 2 threads just cause I can lol.
http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=46&i=409921&t=409921

This was a 10 month build... almost every night... and almost every weekend. A 5 year planned out project ever since the headlight conversion that just progressed to what you see now.

The best part about this build in particular is......... it was built, and not bought. It has been said that I've learned what a body mechanic would learn in 5 years with in 10 months... not sure how accurate that was, but it feels pretty good.

Click on this link for some theme music… I played this over and over when I was dreading how much sanding I was doing, to keep me motivated.

So long awaited, and I apologize for the delays... and I still have detailing to do.. rubber seals, hand washing everything, overspray on windows clean up, engine bay clean up.. etc etc etc... Im sure you understand lol

I present to you...

Project ZDD2010 by Matt McLeod from Ontario Canada.

Enjoy.

Is the whole car dull or is just the back flat painted?
Re: The Unveiling of Project ZDD2010 by Matt McLeod

The car is Satin Silver and Satin Carbon... 50% Satin clear... the whole car is Flat with no metallic except for a light red/brown in the rear carbon...

Air ride will be going back in next week... I can't afford not having an alignment and then driving a 12hr trip to the bash.

Congrats that looks amazing. Only suggestion I have is to do something with the switches in the car, the way they are just sitting ontop of the center console looks cluttered. Perhaps a fiberglassed lid with them incorporated into it?

Seriously though, that car is amazing.

So uhhh...my car is just sitting here...lol

Looks absolutely amazing! I think the rear interior is a little bit too busy for my taste, but it is very well put together and looks great!

Looks great, incredible work. BUT(always a but) lol, I was expecting A LOT more airbrushing judging by the hype in your other thread. I was under the impression that the WHOLE side and rear of the car was gonna be airbrushed. Not trying to take anything away from the amazing work, just saying I was expecting more.

Also I think the car would 'pop' more and stand out if it was cleared 100%

Lastly, TIRESHINE homie

Can't wait to see it this weekend.
