Project: Interior
Sunday, August 01, 2010 11:22 AM
Well, The first thing I did to this car when I got it was "Made it my own" By sticking @!#$ everywhere and spraying anything that came out easy.

Here is a pic from 2 years ago when I thought it looked good.

And here is a pic from 10 minutes ago. Still need new door panels and mount the components behind them.

Got rid of all the red @!#$, All the electronic stuff, Gauge pods have been gone for over a year. Moved the bluetooth reciever off the top of the dash. Etc.

Now I just need to scoop some new door panels. I think I may just order a new set if GM parts direct still has them. I also need to clean it, Get a new wheel, Or put the stocker back on, Get a 3spd auto console top, and take some better pics. It will basically be stock looking again.

Where would a good place for my tweeters be? I don't really want to cut into the new panels, But I am not opposed to it.

It still sucks

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

Tweeters can mount in the sail panels if your mirrors are power.

Manual mirrors, Boo.

Much better, its a sign Jbody owners have come of age when they put that stupid defroster vent back to stock.

I think you missed my first post I want it to look stock.

I have heard That about keeping the tweeters close..May just put them in the door panel again, but lower.

yeah just not a fan of the cars stock personally.

generally when you start getting more then a foot apart between the tweeter and the mid you get seperation, meaning the frequncies that are right between the two speakers kinda get blurred and stretched. to some people who don't care if there music is reproduced accurately or properly its a non-issue, really just depends on how good you want things to sound. sail panels can be used or a-pillars but this puts the driver side tweeter allot closer to your ears and tends to make a majority of the music sound like its coming from the left side of the car and not centered.

Could just play with some FG Mike.

Looks a million times better! I remember how hard it was to find "new" interior pieces after I decided to ditch the ones I had painted blue. It took quite a while, but was well worth it. In my opinion nothing looks better than a stock graphite interior .

Very true.

I could Brian, But The only remaining FG in my interior is the sail panels. And those were just smoothed and painted with HOK metallic pearl black. I don't know where I could FG them....

I would get the little tweeter pods from the bottom of the Sunfire door panels. Cut them up and FG them in all nifty like. Hard to explain what Im thinking.
