most know my car has been down for a while. first year it was down i jsut didnt feel like messing with it, we had gone to so many shows that i was just done with it for awhile so it sat. next year i started working on it thinking the transmission was an issue so i swapped out transmissions and put in an aftermarket torque converter. it drove. thought it was good. drove from indy to cincinatti, then on the way back after a show (in winter) the car did the same thing about a half hour from home. so its pretty much sat the last year as well. changed the ecu. same problem. this weekend chris (s1lver nips) came over and we removed the motor wiring harness and put in a new one. wasnt sure if it would work so we just taped up the drivers side where the battery would go and thru most of the harness there. got it wired up and it ran. we ended up driving around for about 45 minutes and it didnt really have any issues at all. so looks like im going to start driving it to work and around to get some milage on it to make sure its good.









chris and my 4 year old ragamuffin after we got the garage somewhat cleaned up.






and just so everyone knows, even if the car is running fine it wont be coming to the bash. im not going to risk getting it 5 hours from home and have it decide to go into shutdown mode on me. so its going to stay home. besides, if it is working fine, i wont have the wire harness permanently installed in time, nor the other 100 little things that have been neglected on it that last few years.

Sweet, so just looking at the old ecu is there anything that looks messed up on it? I wanna know what the issue was.

glad we got her running. wasn't too terribly hot today like yesterday was. still lots to do.

bummer it won't be at the bash. Glad to hear its running

it wasn't the ecu. matter of fact when we put this other wiring harness in sunday, i swapped back to my origonal ecu, i took it to work on tuesday and took a long roundabout way home and got another 45 minutes of driving in and its still running good. im hoping after i swap out my rear end to spencer this weekend to take it and drive it for about 2-3 hours straight and see how it does. needs an oil change though, its been a year. and as for the fuse relocation, i dont think that was it either because i went and relocated it back into the engine bay wondering if maybe that was the issue, and it still didnt run. im going to fab up a mount thought to hide the fusebox in the bay but unseen without extending the wires though. only thing im thinking is maybe some wires inside the fusebox came loose. and when i get a chance im going to open up that fusebox and check the wiring and see if i can see anything that may have caused the issues.



i had actually started thinking about trailoring it to the bash this year to surprise everyone, but on the way home from bryan ohio yesterday i got another speeding ticket $125 bucks. so that pretty much was my trailer money all down the drain.
