Chrevrolet Harliquin

Well I haven't posted I a while. A few months ago I got my old '97 back, and it was a little abused. I decided since I was sellin the '02 and always loved the look of it I'd do a '00+ swap on it and keep the look.

I'm tossing around ideas for paint, i like the pewter it was. I've always loved the forest green color on the fender. I was kicking the idea of flat white around yest. It will stay as is through winter then next summer is when I'll worry about paint.

Unfortunatly I need to get longer front studs so i can run a spacer to use the z wheels I have for it, so the DR-17's are on for now. They are for sale tho!

This is the only pic I had before I put the teins on. These are the wheels and tires for it. 215/55r16. A little oversized, but they were great untill I decided to swap the suspension.

And here's the state of the '02. Pretty sad. It'll be all put back together this week and sold next weekend.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

I really like the champagne color as i call it. The 97 is gonna be sick! the only thing i saw was the trunk fitment but other than that i can really see some great potential there! love the seats as well...the 02 looked great though as well...

I would totally buy those wheels from you but im in GA and your almost a Canadian. lol

the '97 cost me $1000 to get back, then maybe $300 in misc parts for the swap. It's actually a really nice car, 118k on it and I know when I had it it was very well maintained. I had it from 75k miles and sold it at 110k. It's my daily not my toy. I'm selling the parts off the '02 and car itself to buy a nice LS1 camaro. I actually have a deposit on one, so hopefully i'll have it here the beginning of Aug.

Fox - I messed with the trunk for a good couple hours and it was fighting the whole way, so I gave in and will mess with it another time.

Whitecavy - I told you those wheels would look good on white!

Someone get this kid some paint!

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

Color wise, I think a nice charcoal/silver like these would be super sleek.

Looking good bro, looking good. I wish I could of contributed to the build, but I'm sure you understand, things are not getting any better and it's getting close. Man I missed that car I always loved it, I think the best pic. of the car is the garage shot of both cars when you first got the blue one. Good luck with everything bro. and I say go back to the pewter.

Maybe you will know since you have 97 and an 02, are the center consoles exchangeable? I'm sick of the one in my 02 and the boot retainer always breaks... The boot on the 97 looks clean.

Yea Steve that's the one. Also the SS we talked about in PM the guy decided to keep it, he said he went for a ride in another SS with a procharger with 645 HP and found a new love for the SS if ya know what I mean.

if your going to paint it, go with something other then a stock j-body color so you dont ahve to worry about seeing a thousand other cars that look like yours.

Brad - no black for me man, indigo was hard enough for me to keep clean. I'm very picky in that respect and black would kill me! I can't give all the details away, you'll just hafta wait for the post in other cars

Fox - they are interchangable, the downfalls are the 97 is shorter so resting your elbow there seems a little unusual, there's only one cup holder, and it dosent have the power outlet but that could be added easily.

Spyder - I know what ya mean man, the one I'm going to get isn't boosted but deffinatly isn't stock either. I'm pretty excited. It's been tough not having a toy this summer, hopefully it'll all be worth it soon.

Jason - that's one of the things I like about the pewter. It's not commonly on modded cars. I do like the gunmetal idea above tho.

if you do that atleast go with a little bit diffrent shade so if there is another one there, yours will still stand out and look a little diffrent.
