So this past weekend, I took ownership of Beaty (Beatmobile) as my new DD, now that Wayne and Sam have ReRun all up and running for Jessy. She's a 1998 Sedan, 2200, 135k on the clock. Smooth running car, body has a few spots that need a little tlc, which I'll be addressing over the next few days. Today I just pulled the "mud flaps" from the fenders, and started removing the side moldings from the doors. Tomorrow I'm looking at at banging out/filling any dents, and friday or saturday I'll be tackling the cancer, there's a few spots on the rear passenger door that I may or may not have to weld in some patches, depending how bad it looks once I start removing the rust.
Plans for the car are fairly simple, as I don't want a ton of down time re-working it since it's my DD now. I have a small parts pile to swap on, which includes 00-02 z24 front bumper, 00-02 projector lights, 00-02 z24 spoiler, 03+ LSS rear bumper and side skirts, and I'll probably be moving my chrome LSS wheels onto this car. I've ordered a set of D-specs/S-techs which are on their way, and once the body work is done, I'll be giving it a quick paint job, as the clear coat is getting pretty rough in several places. Like I said, nothing extreme or time consuming, I'm just shooting for a nice looking DD.

The top is trashed (fender mounting points are cut off, and the middle is warped so hard I can't even heat it back), but I'm not worried about it...most likely I'm going to cut off the lip and fog light mounts, and speed grip/fusor them into a base bumper...and I'm kind of thinking I'd like to know what an LSS would look like with no seam at the lip...

Thanks. I've been wanting a 4 door for a while. I'm always hauling parts around, and my seats in the coupe are fixed backs, so the rear seat area is pretty much useless, lol.

I actually just picked up some aluminum pipe the other day, and will be bending intakes for both cars actually...not sure if it'll happen this week/weekend though, I'm working 7 days straight
I was actually looking at headers and cat backs on ebay at work last night, so I'm sure I'll be ordering something over the next few days...I think I also have a flowmaster 60 just laying around (originally was going on the coupe) so I may throw that one. My fart can days are over with, lol!

Lol, custom rust patches....I hope the body shop didn't charge you too much for those Sunoco stickers!
And I'll probably be giving Jason at A+ a call sometime this week for the carpet...I'm thinking new carpet for the coupe right away as well...

Only a small update for today, but it's progress...
Finally had time to remove the door moldings.
And what's this? Seems Beaty had some collision work in the past and got a new rear door, looks like the body shop painted the door with the molding on...
Now I'm planning on using 03+ LSS skirts, but since I already pulled the RK skirts from the coupe, I was curious how they would look.
And maybe, just maybe...

not bad at least u comfirmed my theory that she had been hit. i saw the dry spray in the jamb and it didnt match the gm ways lol. good to know i was right. i like the gmx sides. oh and idk if u remember but i saved u the step of the rear window delete and made them babies drop all the way when jess had it and when i did sams sedan. U should by sams sedan too. lol ud have the show car, the driver, and the winter beater lol. shes already got power windows, keyless, graphite interior haha. slow but surely shes coming along.
Yea, I decided a long time ago she was hit in several places, lol. Just looking at the paint, that rear door an quarter panel were repainted, as well as the pass fender and was blended into the door...it took a bit to find it, lol, but I found a blend line on the pass front door.
Oh, and she has a new driver side mirror...I didn't want to belong to the duct tape club, lol!
i have a full 1997 manta green z24 kit if your interested .....rear bumper is on god. cond. with fillers also side skirts are not too bad the front bumper has a small crack and i have a maron z24 filler for front bumper along with the fog lights too. pm if your interested

A little update...
Went down to Baltimore over the weekend and grabbed some parts from Mike, some of which will be going to Beaty.
New shoes!! (Just need some new tires on them.
I also brought home an Eibach sway bar set, so the stock sway bar from the coupe will be going on Beaty once I install those. That's it for now. Discuss.

I finally got around to starting to address some of Beaty's dents...took care of the smashed in driver side quarter...

Just have to fix the front fender, a small crease in the hood above the headlight, and a rusty door and the bodywork is all done. I have the 03+ lss rear bumper and 02 lss front end that I'll hopefully get paint on in the next week or two, by then the rest of the body work should be done, and I can hit her with a quick fresh coat of paint. I have to track down one more 03+ lss side skirt and then she's all done.
