I don't see the point of this. Also, if you're planning to make this AWD like your profile says, I hope to hell you really know what you're doing.

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.
"Run! He's fuzzy!" "Get outta here!"

GM quality with DSM reliability = complete fail. Should have just eco swapped it so the car could see the road more than once a year(if at all).

I like the idea. I have nothing but respect if you can pull it off. GL and i hope it work out for you!

If someone says that motor is slow they are ignorant and naive. That motor is bulletproof you can boost the hell out of those motors. I would love to see 90 % of all ppl on JBO put their cars against a First gen Talon with the AWD Turbo motor and see how they can hold up in a drag race. I have a friend with a first gen ADW turbo and that exact motor is pushing 25 PSI and he is making 11 second passes all day long. real talk.

you're @!#$ retarded if you think the 4g63 is bulletproof. there's a reason the words DSM and reliability don't mix, and this motor is it.

Check out my build thread!

Its not the motor that not reliable its the crank and trannys is all that ever seems to break lol

Its not that the motor, tranny, and or cranks are junk. Its the morons that own them and "fix" them. Get someone that knows what they are doing and youll quickly change your opinion. Ive personally seen a 170k mile 1g with cams, FMIC, and a turbo run 10.8 all summer long on 35 psi.

It seems to be you thats an @!#$ moron. Perhaps before you call someone an idiot you should pull your head out of your ass. The DSM is bullet proof. Its the sensors and everything connected to it thats un-reliable. The motor itself is amazing. Why you do think they make so much power so easy? You can boost the hell out of them. Why do you think that is?

I love how people jump to the whole crank walk thing. You do realize thats an issue with 7 bolts not 6 bolts? Have you even asked him which engine he is using? However, the header does appear to be a non-turbo header. If thats the case its def a 6 bolt. If it is a NA motor why go through all that work and not use the better engine?

this. the whole omfgz crank walk thing is so overly exaggerated its not funny.

i personally would love to see this project completed. would i want it for my car? hell no because im quadz for life but it is cool nonetheless.

all you haters, lets see your over the top builds! pfft.

Maybe you didnt notice that this is not a turbo AWD engine. its just a slow POS as I can see it right now. Wonder if it came out of a Hyundai????

If he is staying N/A then this was a horrible choice.
N/A ecotec owns the N/A 4g63 IMO.
I have 180,000 miles on mine and I still race it every weekend.
Try that with a dsm motor.....lol
