Yup guys!! I have 2 verts in the family. As some of you may remember i posted some pics up of my 96 Cavalier Ls vert that I bought for my girlfriend. Well that one is still under construction but hopefully (fingers crossed) should be running by the end of the week. But, newho, i got the itch again to play with another J. While I was working on her vert, I realized how much I really missed my old J, so the brain started working. Posted my Sebring vert on craigslist, and the same day got a buyer, and $2000.00 later, I was looking for my new baby. After a day of looking I found 2 decent verts, and my baby I have now. The first two were both 97, one needed some work and was listed for $2000, and the other didnt need anything and was listed for $2500. After looking for about 5 more min I come across a beautiful 2000 Cavalier Z24, white color, white top, (then the killer) white leather (or the cheapy version for the J's) interior. Yep, I actually found one with the leather interior. Now I had been wanting one like this for a long time, but finding one in decent condition is hard enough, but to find one in such great shape, with no interior damage at all and awsome top, and body was just too much. So after calling the dealership she was at and heading out there and driving it, i fell in love! Well, needless to say, I now own her, and shes a beauty! She has her quirks for being 10 years old, which I knew and expected so im not mad about it at all. But here are the pics and ill let you guys decide. She was a little pricey but i figured I still paid less then what she was worth for retail value, and especially I saw one 97 Z24 with a little lesser miles going for over $7000! Well here are the pics, and now its time to start modding this one, But I have already been warned by my girlfriend to finish her car and get hers running before I start to touch this one. Let me know what you guys think and where should I start.

Nice find! I'd start with a drop, then try and find some z wheels, I would get rid of the front plate and fix the holes that will be there from that paint it all white and put a lip on it.
Looks like it's an auto? Thad be my only downfall. Great car tho!

Hahha yeah, sorry about that I was rambling when I wrote that lol, I picked her up for $4995 out the door. Little steep, but when i looked on NADA.com and KBB.com they both rated the car at $5500 and up. So it wasnt all that bad, but ehh, I wanted it. Its a great car, rides nice, and when i got to the dealer, they I asked for the carfax and it was a 1 owner no accidents, and pretty solid. Like i said, I know it has its quirks, and only after i drove the car for more then a hours straight, I can tell im gonna have tranny problems (rough shift into second) but while I was looking up motors for my girls vert, i kept finding tranny's for like 100-200 bucks, so im not worried about it. But im really considering doing a 5 speed swap, but i am unsure as to how hard that would be. So there are a ton of plans for this car. But thanks guys, i wasnt really expecting everyone to like it alot. And keep the ideas coming, because I dont know if i wanna go extreme like my old car (sneezy) was, or keep it simple and make it look like a stock LS Sport with the simple lip kit and so on. But thats why im here, for more ideas!! Keep 'em coming!!

Ah ok, yea not bad at all on the price. I'd say keep it clean with a lip kit, a nice drop and some sweet wheels.

Well if the White pleather is still in good shape, that is normally a good sign that the whole car was looked after.

Don't really see many 2k verts. Got me thinkin 2k front again! Lol. Mabe after I get my cars performance and handling done. I got some yellows for sale soon. But only the fronts.
That looks really nice. You should rock the the ls sport kit and remove the badges for starters IMO. But yeah great potential... keep us posted w/ pics

Yeah that's what a buddy of mine said, keep it simple and clean. He also brought up a really good idea. He said do the opposite of murdering it out, do everything white, like a nice set of white rims, and do little contrasts to the car like maybe some simple 96 tail lights, the darker headlight housings with the dark turn signals and just keep it a clean looking car. Now I'm not sure to the white wheels but he makes a valid point, but I do wanna do something to the dash and such bc I'm not fond of the ugly light brown they have on the dash and carpets, so I may change that out but I'm thinking maybe simple on the interior black and white and just stick to a black and white color scheme on the car. Maybe instead of white wheels either black or gun metal. What u guys think? I think the black and white in the interior will accent the pleather white that much more and it won't be so reflective as if I did everything white (that's just waaaaayyyyyyy to much glare). Lol but that's guys for the love I'm glad I found a suitable replacement for sneezy lol. Keep the ideas rolling in!

Yeah she dies but for now the way she sits will have to do, my main concern is getting my girls vert running. But either way ill keep everyone posted as she comes along. Thanks everyone for the ideas, I'm gonna keep her clean and let the girly have the more extreme one with the nice bodykit and such. But if anyone has any ideas as to what to do with either one keep the ideas coming!
