Agreed, or take the mirrors off......pull the locks out etc. OP You are going to regret doing it this way, lets take a guess where the paint starts to flake off first.
You also taped off the licence plate???Did you guys not have a screwdriver?

This.

It literally takes about 30 seconds for each one.... with hand tools.

I rarely post negative comments, but that is such a hack job. I've never seen a license plate left on the car while being painted! Being that you are taking an autobody class I figured the instructor would be showing you how to properly prep the car, that is rediculous.

LMAO... seriously, the liscese plate? Did you just have left over masking tape to use up?

Forget the license plate. I'm wondering why this thing is being primed and prepped for paint when there are two gaping holes in the rear bumper. LOL.

wow. I have taken auto body classes. Actually best in my class back then too.... and grew up with my family owning a great body shop.

Take it from someone who knows a tiny bit, you suck. Seriously that's the worst prep work I have seen in a while. Taping off the plate was laziness? It would have been QUICKER to get a screw driver and remove it. And not waste your schools materials that they pay for. Would love to know what instructor/school this is, so I can make sure to never put a body panel in the hands of them or their graduates. They clearly don't know how to teach the right way to do things.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.
