2000 Z24 Vert
this could potentially be my new car in the coming weeks, it will immediately be getting the Sunfire front, IF sides, and LSS rear, that is if the bank gets back to me with good news..
any isues with this year of vert i should be aware of or things to look for before committing to buying the car?

seems like a lot of money given the miles........thou doesnt look to be in that bad of a condition
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
they're asking 4 but they said they'd take 350 and i'm only few hours away and i've been dying for a vert so anything under 5k i'm happy with as long as its in good order

Forget the Sunfire front, just get an LSS front lip and some amber corners. The 00-02 Cavy front is the best looking IMO... I want to swap my front end to that....
but convertible FTW!

beware of the motor. i hate my 2.4.
I love mine! Amstrong's is building mine again as we speak
my z has had the engine replaced once, rebuilt once, and less than 3k miles after the rebuild is knocking again.
Check out my build thread!
Loved my 2.4...although it did start knocking around 178,000 miles
Not unintentionally accelerating since 2009!!!!
it'll be alright, i'm probably going to baby this one, the por 2.2 has seen more abuse than any engine should in my hands.. i did have it since i was 15 after all.. 5 years of growing up when F&F was cool and double clutching was right (lol) so the vert should be alright now that i've grown out of that stage

i've yet to see anybody do a vert with the ls lips. i wanted to do it to the vert my wife had for a short time but had too many problems with the car and had to get rid of it.

Me either! And as I mentioned, I want to do mine SOOO bad. Either LSS or WW front lip. And maybe paint the car silver or indigo. I think that would be sick.

i aim to keep the car black if i get it , cuz black with my 19's would be badass IMO

damn thats alot of cash for a 160k vert. but they do bluebook pretty good with high mileage too. hope you get what you want. and hope to welcome you to the vert family !
woot for top down and snow lol
Good job man on the vert. I just bought my girl a 96 for 500. Spun a rod bearing on it too, so seems to be a trend with these motors and high mileage. I would also keep a eye on the water pump. I had a 98 malibu with the same engine, and when i junked it (rear ended and totaled) it had about 80,000 miles on it, and it was running really good. My girls vert had 138,000 miles on it, and it spun a bearing. Other then that, have fun and good job!! It is nice to have a done up coupe but its nicer to have a vert!! Goodluck!!!
well, i got some more pics from the owner of the interior and under the hood, cars completely stock except a new cd player, under the hood will need some clean up and modifying to make it pretty again but otherwise all seems like the car is in mint shape, now it's just up to the bank
