as some of you know i got my trans and i started working on getting the old one out today. didnt do much but got started. brakes were a bicth to get off and my lack of power tools/ air tools has got me stopped right here. according to the post on how to remove the axels i need to unbolt the strut and remove the axle nut.. i will probably be on here alot figureing out what to do step by step but im taking my take and making sure im getting it all done right. if anyone has any suggestions or tips on how to make this easier, faster, or how to do something with out breaking something let me know. i will update this post every chance i get

whyd you take the rotors off? Easiest way t get out trans is undo axle nut, pop ball joint off the knuckle, and pull it out, voila!

I can have both axles out in 30 minutes... without power tools... VERY simple to do in a J

if you need help PM me for my telephone number...

Dude, dont take offense to this. But you started the job, NOW you are asking for step by step instructions? A transmission replacement is pretty simple for someone that has done it before, but if you havent, you should have atleast done your research prior to starting the job.

i usually just unbolt the strut at the bottom and pop the axles out from the trans and move them out of the way, no need to even remove the axles from the wheel side.

Put blocks behind those wheels before that car falls and kills you.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

If you notice there isn't much meat where your jack stands go. With you playing around moving @!#$ around that car can rock back and forth and isn't safe to be under. You better chock the wheels front and rear for that matter.
