The insurance company and courts are going to have a field day with this. I would sue your ass till I owned everything you had if I ended up hitting you because I could not see your tail lights. They would have no chance. Although you may get fined for it, they will always fault the person who rearends, because even if the lights weren't visible, they should not be driving close enough that they can't react with or without warning lights.

Oh really then tell me when when motorcycle going 120+ rear ended me it ended up being my fault according to the insurance companies and he tried to sue me? You need to step out of your little bubble and realize that with the right lawyer and time to push it you can get anything you want in this world. Its sad but true.

what's sad but true is how upset you get over people with tinted tails.
Scott (Silver Z) wrote:I agree that some are done too dark. Mine look way darker in pics than they do in person. On a sunny day you can still see the lights just fine. I have been pulled over for other things and had the cops look at my tails and even rub them but they have never said anything.
If I thought they were to dark or dangerous I wouldn't do it.
Scott (Silver Z) wrote:If it were such a problem and mine were so hard to see the multiple state troopers that stopped, looked at them and rubbed the lense probably would have said something about them. But, they didn't because when lit they are clearly visible. If someone can't see them when I am stopping my tail lights being factory wouldn't change anything because they weren't paying attention.
