since no one ever posted this (or at least that I could find) heres a pic of finished product of painting the bezel in my 05 cav headlights olympic white to match the car. All I ever saw was 95-99 projectors painted and 00-02 headlights so heres my addition for the 03-05 cavs.
Fill the reflector holes!
Other than that, its different. Black would have accented the other dark colors of the car just fine IMO.
How did you separate the lens from the housing?
Not a big fan...makes the reflective shield of the headlight bulb even uglier than it already was. Thumbs up for taking them apart yourself though.
i dont think it looks right at all...
i kno wi need a set of clear reflectors for cheap. and i jsut used a utility knife aka razor blade knife and cut the silicone this is the second time ive had them apart, first was to remove the refelctors a while back. so i had a nice clean line of silicone to cut through, this time ir emoved all the old silicone thought and filled it in with new silicone.
oh and also theres still some black around the bezel if you look closely. but the actual bezel is painted to match. i also di dmy door handles a while back and whenever i have another free day im going to do my mirrors to match. (not painting the sails though)
oh and if you want to see more pics of the car you can see some more at my profile on the theautolog.com profile djbeefyaz. have my 05 and 98 cav on there.
It's been done.................sorry....

I like them white. I would like it better with the reflector in or the holes filled in.

Close up it looked kind of iffy. However the far away shots i love it, nice work.
mine are also done and they way i got mine apart was by cooking them in the oven at like 400 for 4 min and then taking a putty knife to them lol..
Damn Paul... I love your car..
To the OP... I don't think it looks bad.. need a clear reflector in there and get better shots from a distance.
Where can we get clear reflectors?
Or is this a DIY thing.
Franks name on here streaker369 hes charged also and far as i know his car is still up for sale in AZ.
I'm going to get clear reflectors possibly down the road, maybe maybe not idk yet. theres a couple palces you can get them from.
More pictures later when i actually take it out somewhere, maybe later when i take my son to the park ill get some shots there distance, close ups angles wtvr.
kris if i finbd where i found the reflectors at again 'ill let you know if you would like.
thanks for comments opinions so far, keep em coming if you want. at least when someone searches for a while now they'll find a pic of 03-05 and as said also more to come later if i remember to take some more pics
