I'm new to using this site, And i find the search doesn''t work well for me.
I'll start off with a little intoduction for myself. my name is kyle, I'm 16 Year old, born and raised around cars for as long as i can remember.
My dads a mechanic, and body man, So are 2 of my older brothers. so i have some knowlage when it comes to cars.
I know my second gens well, I own a 88 Z24, But my moms going to take mine and start driving it for a while, seeing how i'm 16 and don't have my license yet. I Have been Lurking around on the site for a while and Its given me some interest into the 3rd gens So moms giving me her 96 Sunfire convertible to toy with for a while.
Me and dad bought the car for 1000$ as a little project for her, We Put paint on it, took the steal wheels off and put 93 Z24 wheels on it,Shaved door handles and locks/ moldings, Swapped over a 2004 front clip and 2001 rear bumper. put dual Gt exhaust on it.
but after a year of her running it to the ground its time to restart over.
Ill get some picture when its nice out.
My plans are of right now Are.
fix Leaky exhaust
new top
New front windows ( side windows were beat out Coupe ones don't line up)
2005 rear clip
put wheels on ( 16" eagle ally 169's) and paint them black
Gt side flares ( or aftermarket ones)
lip kit ( maybe)
Paint car silver/red pearl
Retint 5 - 2.5%
2005 dash cover
new door pannels
2000+ cavy/sunfire console
Nicer seats.
Find a deck/ dvd
small amp
decent componets
small/ decent sub.
I'd like to keep it clean, Nothing to flashy. Seeing how my moms going to be driving it. But i would also like it to stand out for people to notice it.
I Have seen some wild stuff on this site So I'm hoping you guys could give me some ideas to play around with, and also show me some convertibles that have been done, Or even some mods that i can do with a sunfire.
Any help is appreciated Greatly.

i still cant ! both my side windows need to be pushed in when closing the door wit the top up.
sure does need some work. fender looks like it needs lined up to the door and wheres the window trim piece? gl with the project
i have the window problem too, i was rebuiling the 4g63 in my talon this winter and was forced to drive the fire... if it sat for very long snow would drift into the 1/4 inch gap between the back window seal and the window...suck fest, still love the verts tho!
The verts color scheme looks like a PH1 2nd Gen Z.
Kinda cool actually!
