After 4-5 years, I finally got my hands on a '03-'05 LS wing for $33.50 on ebay!
I'm so stoked to get rid of my spoiler i've had since '04. I like it, but it's just not my "style" anymore. lol It was at one time, but not now. haha
But I've got the tunk lid off my old '00 convertible Z24 (and hinges) and will be putting the spoiler on it, I just have to fill 2 un-used holes from the stock '00 wings.
So I'm pretty excited. Going to fill the holes and get the wing on!
Debating on moulding it to the trunklid or not, any thoughts or suggestions? O.o
p.s. yes, ty for telling me how bad my spoiler was previously, I've heard it for 4 years >.> lol

whats up man, cars looking good.
the old wing is not bad at all bro...
its just that its on a cavalier.
lol
if you had that wing on a 240sx that was all drifted out if you know what i mean...
it would look awesome!
but its on a FWD cavalier...
just gives that "it bolts on so i will do it" feel.
great find!

My cavy looks so bad man
It didn't run for 2 years do to financial and personal reasons. I finally got it running again as you know in June of this year. I missed it so much.
One of my best friends I had in oregon when i lived there (before i moved back to cincinnati) Died in March and I want to finish things i started for him. He had a Honda '95 hatchback that he never got to finish. He had surgery 2-3 times in 4 years on a brain tumor and it finally claimed him, R.I.P. david. But now i want to finish what i started so long ago, for him in his memory, since he was unable to fulfill his dream. He was like a brother to me. But he's not suffering anymore and is in a much better place.

I agree with you 100%, all of my friends drove honda's, ect. I was the only cavalier owner. So alot of the stuff that i had been around enfluence wise was due to that. I love the style of wing, but it's dumb on a cavalier. As i've gotten older and appreciate "clean" cars over heavily modded cars with my change in taste. Times change, tastes change and people change.
My end goal has my rear LS bumper, Front type J along w/ J sides, My hood and stock fenders. Something very simple and nice looking.

PS: You know you can call me anytime, haven't talked to ya in awhile!!
Whats up James! Miss ya!
I got to work on it lastnight! De-Badged it then cleaned the trunklid. Got all of the Adhesive/3M off form the from '00-'02 spoiler and badges. Then Sanded the clear off of the trunk lid. Decided to go ahead and fill the holes on the deck portion and shave the lock as well! Going to go home and do some more work on it, hopefully get it all sanded and looking good. And i have to find the trunk popper/solenoid that came with the lid. lol Picking up an alarm soon to wire everything to!
Still debating on moulding the wing to the trunk, I will put it on tonight and see ow things look, see which i might like better.
HOW ARE YOU MAN!?

I just might ^_^ I'll have to look at it today as see how difficult it would be to get it to look right.
seeing how it looks after the first sand down. Still need some more finishing work!

I'm good, you know that!
I agree on the molding, as you know I always wanted to do that to my old cavi, never did before it was totaled, but my dream can live on with you!
It's already being done by a member on GMSCF Cavalierboy02, I cant remember his username on here...
But there is his pic
That looks great, except you can see the un even build up of filler. That's what i was worried about. The amount of materials to do it and the hours upon hours of sanding to get it to look right.
I might just keep mine unmoulded, to save time, money and my own sanity! I have penty of interior stuff to finish and sand w/o spending another 15 hours on the trunk lid. LOL
But his looks great! Looks like it need a lil more work on the slope from the wing to the trunklid deck of the car, but it does look nice!

Doh, forgot to post the pics from lastnight.
I used a dark colored rustoleum primer for 2 reasons, to seal up/protect teh sanded bare metal spots a tad better and to see defects in the filler used. So you can go back with some light body filler to fix any tiny imperfections before you sand/primer/paint/clear and then see the issue. lol

boxxy is crazy as fack...but she is hella cute!!!
i agree on molding, would look TITS!!!
It would look good, but it would take a lot of time and materials for me to get it 100% right. And honestly, I'm old and don't want to waste 12+ more hours on the trunk lid when i have plenty of other stuff to finish. lol So it's staying a bolt on. they do look fantastic molded tho! I just woudl rather devote my time an energy to something else and it be finished. If the wing weren't as thick on the sides and rear, it would be different. But as it sits now you'd have to raise the lid and taper it 1/2-1/4" and make sure there are no waves or bubbles or oddities with it. It's just a lot of work.
final product. im more than happy with it!!
Keep in mind, my toyo tail lights will be on it, I just stuck the '00 inners back in it for the pics.
Also you guys should get a kick out of this too. lol
I had my old Premier head unit and some 6x9's laying around. Why not put them to use. lol
Sure beats me using my headphones with my ipod for anything i can do in or around the garage.
Enjoy!

ye man that pic was rob from my progress post over on gmscf. lol ye its not done, i still have a lot of smothing to do and i have to shave the key hole lol. i was going to do it last time, but after i shave like 6 holes were the 03 light bar went i got lazy. i tell u it does take some time to mold one of these bad boys in lol i got about 9 hours in mine and still need a nother 3-4 befor prep for paint ,
Troll- That trunk is sexy personified. Especially for your car!
Well, for those who are still interested in the results for it, here you are.
'04-Until lastnight at 10pm.
From Lastnight until eternity.. lol. (Thank god)
Also found out, that my '00 convertible trunk hinges, do and will not directly bolt on to my '99 cavalier.
I had previously been told they would, got to taking everything off and they will not work, at least not as a direct bolt on.
the fun things we learn at 9-10pm when it's dark!
