Interior update - Microsuede + Carbon Fiber

Just a little teaser. The carbon fiber in the door pic needs to be cleared still. Passenger side is done and drivers side is this week. On a side note, my tibby spoiler and new trunk should be getting painted this weekend.

C&C Welcome!

i like it.

i would of put some 3-5 way 6x9's in there cause the tweeter looks a lil bo-bo

looks good, dunno about the tweeter position. I personally would have let it out or found another location. But props on the work!

IMO, round speakers are better than an oval any day. My Type S components kick ass.

Door panels look awesome man

Tweeter location kills it.

This was running thru my mind but i'm not exactly sure how. Any ideas?

And ya, as soon as I put the tweeter on I thought it looked kinda bad. Imma do the other side the same and see what I think. Luckily these tweeters come with a ton of mounting options so if I decide I don't like it I can flush mount them too which I think should look pretty good.

Thanks

well if it were me i would get a thin piece of flat aluminum and trace the carbon piece over it, then make a line probably a 1/4 inch smaller in diameter and cut it from there.

a dremel should be able to get the edges nice and smooth and contoured well. would take forever but in the end would look just amazing. then counter sink some nice alan head screws too finish it off.

i say it needs some sort of trim just to clean up the edges of the carbon, but i'm not sure i'd do aluminum, unless it was like anodized black...

and yea, you at least need to flush mount the tweeters...

looking good though

First off, any real audio enthusiast, professional, diy'er, etc, will tell you round is definitely better than oval. If you think your oval pioneers are incredible, that's great, because they probably sound good. But then again, there's 100's of products out there that are better than your pioneers. And they're round, and for a reason.

To the OP, to top it off I think you should add a 6" or 8" midbass to the duo. Or get a 3-way component setup (although $$ ).

Nice job on the cf.

Thanks everybody.
I'll keep my mind open for something for a trim piece. Aluminum would be cool I think, but ya, would take forever!

Ya, a 3-way would look pretty good in there but I think this is gonna work for now.
