So I lied, I only have one change right now. And it’s a small one. Im wanting to get some things out of the trunk to clean it up and redo it this summer so the first thing I moved was the eq. after some looking around I decided to put it on the rear deck. Not something you do for a DD. But its not a DD so no big deal. So I started cutting and test fitting to see if I liked it.




I liked it so I went to work, pulling off the old suede and then cutting a rounded trim piece to go around the eq, fiberglassed a nice smooth shape to it, sanded it smooth. I though of just wrapping this piece and be done with it but it was unfinished to me. So I started building up around the trim piece with kitty hair and some fiberglass and filler.




Then I sanded that down smooth and added the filler to get it al nice and smooth.




Then I wrapped the silver piece



Then I wrapped the rear deck cover




And mounted it in the car.







The colors are a bit off. They didn’t have my exact color in stock. And weren’t looking to have it in for another week and with the holidays and a show in 9 days I didn’t want to risk it. So come spring it will get yanked out and rewrapped, that or the wife says she likes the new color better and has suggest just rewrapping the seats, so who knows.

Awesome Jason. Fits back their nicely. Have you decided if your going to relocate the battery to the trunk? If so I got some info I need to tell you.

vincent, vibrations shouldnt be a problem i have so much sound damping in this car its pretty solid.

gm parts pro. im not sure yet what i will do with it. but it will be fiberglassed and have allot more finished look versus the pieced together look it has now.


stephen, im not sure on the battery, future plans call for the battery leaving the engine bay. ive got allot planned for that area next year, but right now im not sure whats going where, i do know i have a location picked out for the audio fusing, it will be leaving the trunk in spring. so whatever info you got let me have it just in case. u know where to reach me.


bad thing is on testing i have some bad alternator whine, i went the easy route and just lengthened my ground and power and remote with some thin wire which was lazyness on my part so either way it looks like it will come out in the spring to be wired up better.
