c&c welcome,my friend gave me this valve cover he painted,it from his former cavalier.He never got around to putting it on,so he let me have it.I am going to send my original valve cover off to get powdercoated,I like it in red it looks pretty nice,but let me know what you all think?

well... i guess it looks clean. definitely nothing close to 'chrome' though.
i'd clean the rest of that sticker junk off of it on the passenger side and you're good to go
Yeah I know,he used high temp engine paint in chrome,it looks more silver than anything.You cant really tell much of a difference between that and stock.

Well I think it looks better than stock,and besides it gives me a chance to send my other off to get powdercoated.

I personally don't think it looks good... I mean, it looks like a clean valve cover nothing exciting really. Also, I don't know about red, if you are paying to get it powder coated why not get it chromed or powder coated the color of your car? Why red? Let me guess you are the kinda guy who also paints his rear drums red, and probably would put a cone filter on his stock intake tubing.. umm...... yeah.

Ok sorry for wanting to be different.Why would I chrome it and be like everyone else,this is MY car,and whatever I wanna do to it is My desision.And no I dont paint my drums or calipers,and the reason I put the cone on there is because it will give me a little more power.Yeah I no not much,maybe like 2 or 3 whp.But atleast I got the big box outta the way,I wanna get a short ram or a aem cai,but dont have the money at the moment.

Personally, as long as you like it, it shouldn't matter.
I like it for the fact that it's a subtle change, it's not a huge flashy "look at my valve cover" change. What matters is what's underneith that cover, that you can't see.

i like it. should have removed the sticker on the side first. better pics or adjusted pics would look a lot better too. too blue/shaded.
i'm not positive, but i don't think chrome is powder coated.

You can have a chrome-like powdercoat done, but actual chrome is dipped I do believe. Todd Miller pc'd a chrome IDI for me way back in the day and it came out mint looking.
This just looks halfass, mainly due to leaving the sticker residue on there like a moron. Come on now, @!#$ do it once, do it right.
I can't really tell from the pics if I like it. I would have to see it in person.
