i always spray the crap out of the brush at the car wash before using it.. i make sure its in perfect shape so that I don't get any surface scratches... I also live in a town of about 8000 people and people aren't too reckless here, but i totally understand what you mean.

I do wash it at home very often, I actually bring tons of washing products to that car wash too... I was just lazy yesterday...

I drive up onto a few 2x4's and have a low pro jack which I use and works pretty well. Only time I really need to jack it up now is to change to my slicks at the track. I do my oil changes in my uncles garage, he has a pit, so it all works out.
