On The Road Again
Tuesday, August 26, 2008 6:27 PM
After a year and a half of sitting in the garage, as of Aug 26, 2008 the Cavalier is back on the road. Spent 3 hours last night putting it back together so I could take it down to Firestone and have the broken lugstuds replaced.

Now if your asking why was it sitting in the garage for a year and a half? Well, I had bought my Sunfire so I could put the Cavalier up and mod it without having to worry about needing to drive it every day. I had gotten about half way and then family life took all my time. In like June of this year, and had given up on most of my plans for the car and decided just to work on getting the damn thing on the road again. I sold (or am trying to sell) half my parts including the Body Kit.

Anyways, I went out for a lil photoshot after picking the car up tonight. Car still needs some cleaning (all I did was run it through the cheapest price no touch car wash) and its not in the best of shape anymore. I still need to put the Rotas on and the Black One Piece Headlights. Also looking to find some 95-99 Sunfire GT Sideskirts for it. But anyways here she is...

For reference heres what the car looked like back in May:

I was excited to see it finished. Oh well, family is much more important. Good to see it rolling again.

good job, i know how hard it is to get a car put together with new family getting started and i can understand the hardships.

one thing though, just because you do have a family now does not mean you have to give up on your hobby's. it's what keeps me sane a lot of the time!

its not just family, i've lost alot of interest in my car from it sitting so long. thus why i scaled back my plans big time. Exterior wise all I'm still looking for is sideskirts. After that I'm just gonna enjoy the car.

Best thing really. The longer my progress takes the less interested I get in the damn thing...sometimes it is nice just to drive the damn thing
