2008 Season - First new pics in a long time
Wednesday, August 06, 2008 4:20 PM
I don't really post up new pics often, so I thought I'd throw some up from this season--hope you guys like!

Most of the changes were to the motor and not even all of them are pictured. The T3 turbo didn't match the power we plan on pulling from the car, so we changed things up. The primaries on the new stainless manifold are 2" and the turbo is a Garrett .63/.70 that we had them put together for us. It all dumps off into a full 3" exhaust and open wastegate. She's currently running Cobalt Stage 2 injectors, an (even more-so) modified fuel rail and an aeromotive FPR. HPT had some trouble hooking up to my car, so right now we're waiting for their engineers to work out the bugs and post an update.

I have a set of Recaro's going in soon and I'm planning some more changes for the engine bay and trunk before our next two big shows come about.

Oooh...what's under the towel?

Yep...that'll get'er movin'

Sittin' pretty at the Syracuse Nationals. (this weekend she was everything from a G6 to a GTO...one guy even complimented me on how hot my "Supra" was. Gee, thanks?

nice setup man always wondered how a fmic looked behind that bumper and its sexy, my only question is on the header design why not bring the #2 runner up and flow it into the collector instead of T-ing it into the #1 runner

The car looks awesome and that one picture of you straight on looks sick. I must say I'm not digging the design of the manifold though.

Thanks, man! I've fallen in love with that FMIC, too...can't stop looking at it! Actually, both pairs of runners join into each other (1&2 and 3&4.) The reason we did this is because with 2" primaries going into such a small flange, there isn't room for a typical 4-1 collector. But the bigger primaries are necessary to spool the bigger turbo (especially since I ported the head VERY agressively.)

Honestly, we just wanted to do something a little different from the norm. Most manifolds are almost always perpendicular with the engine, y'know? Is that what you don't like about it?

It's not the placement of the turbo that I don't like, I just don't like how the runners tapped into each other but I after reading what you said above I understand why now.

Sorry I haven't visited the thread in a while--we've been on Anna Maria island (Florida) since Thursday. Thanks for all the compliments, guys--it's good to know I've put the car in the right direction as far as mods go. I'll definitely post up some vids as soon as she's tuned!

Erik - Chris rarely checks the .org, might be better off calling him anyways.

So katie letting you get the wheels is a late wedding gift right?
