What's up guys (and girls), I'm Nathan. I've been off and on here the past couple of years, but haven't been all that active. I thought I'd introduce myself and get your thoughts on my car. I've had this car since '04, and I've been doin stuff to it ever since. I installed, and customized every part of the body kit myself (with help from friends of course). I also painted it myself (Hot Hues flat black, not primer). Anyway, here it is...
At the beach, right after I painted it in '05:
After I got Chazz's old hood:
The car was hit by my sisters b/f while I was at home from college. It only messed up the front bumper, but I didn't have time to mess with it because I had to get back to school. Long story short, I left it for a guy to fix, and he painted the whole thing gloss black. I talked to the guy and told him I had the flat black paint at my parents house (where he picked it up) but he still painted it cheap single stage gloss...nice.
As soon as I can get everything finished up, I'm gonna get it painted base-clear flat black for some better protection. I'm also tryin to figure out a spoiler to put on it and get rid of the wing. I know I'm gonna have to customize the legs to fit, thinkin about the charger R/T or similar. I also have some pics of the custom work if anybody wants to see.
i know, but I already scrape.
I'm plannin on gettin air though.
Looks pretty good!
We have the same exact birthday, even the year! nuts!
That front bumper is pure ugly.

it may not be the nicest way to put it, but its true. that bumper is one of the worst for the Js.
other than that, a nice satin black would look nice. but i would lower it and get some rims before i did anything else.
I think a drift front to match your sides and rear would look 10x better. Wheels and a drop would do wonders as well. Where in NC are you?

this puts it best i do believe
well lets see get some rims, new front bumper, a drop, forget about the spoiler, and paint then you will be good not in that order but if it were it should go along the lines of and what ever you do dont put rims on before the drop it still wont look right.
1. DROP
2. RIMS
3. New front bumper
4. paint
Wow... really, no one likes the bumper? hmm...I still like it. Theres aspects about it I don't like, but all in all I like it. I'll probably do some more to it to change it a bit, but I'll probably keep it. I agree it needs to be lowered, but I'll have to put air on it because it scrapes as it is. I've had a couple different people ask me how much I have it lowered. i really need some rims indeed. Tryin to save for air bags, but its hard to save for all that bein a college student. The rims and bags are expensive toys. And I am very aware of the need to paint, I just have to finish the body work first.

It looks like a big mouth bass to me. The bumper AND the hood both need to go.

Oh well in that case what part of SC? I'm in the upstate.
Damn man. I live about 45-50 minutes from Clemson, and I work in Anderson.
No it always resembles the old Samurai masks, this bumper and the bomex for the sunfire 03-05
I agree a drop would be nice, also get some spacers for those rear tires.
The bumper is OK. I think it'd look better with some mesh in there, or maybe a intercooler(turbo would also help).
I actually like that color.

I agree with everyone.......front bumper needs to go. Also IMO the flat black does your car no justice. It looks like it was painted with a spray can ( even though you say its not )

shadow: I've been to anderson quite a lot in the past year. Imade the mistake of goin to the Tintplus carshow up there, well there were a few nice cars up there but not really worth it. Also, did you do a 03+ conversion? I was thinkin about doin a light and hood swap and cuttin out the front bumper to fit the lights, of course I have no experience with wiring.
Josh: thanks for a lil back up. haha. Yea, I had mesh in it, but I customized the lip and never got around to molding somethin back in to hold new mesh.

i got a uncle who lives in anderson and a cousin that goes to clemson. Im hoping this year to make it to one the the football games down there.
one clean: the hood is spray can if thats what you mean.
Sorry il correct myself a bit. I know its sopose to look flat but to me the flat colour hides body lines in the car. I just think your car would look 100x better withhout the flat look.
Too me it just has that rattle can look. Maybe its the pics or maybe its just me IDK
