Look closer those are tweeters....

I would have personally mounted the tweeters higher up .....I need all new speakers this spring....How do they sound??

looks good but I would agree I would have done something to fill in the old speaker grill or something.......

Yea the existing speaker grill does look kind of crappy, but they sound great.

My guess is he assumed that due to tweeter location.

Personally would rather see the mids tucked behind the panel and the tweeters blended it somewhere else a bit better, but I also like subtle mods. Your gigantic tachometer shows me you don't.

what brand are those man I need to up date my speakers as well I already have 6.5's in the doors behind the panels but need to switch to components and all that goodness

shouldn't you be lookin straight instead of towards the center of the car while drivin? i think you should have put the speakers behind the panel and put the tweeters higher.

I would have mounted the woofer behind the panel and put the tweeters as close to them as possible, but if you are going to mount components on top of the panel, I hope you built up behind it with MDF or something, so it's not just mounted to the panel. Also, I would have filled the visible portion of the factory grill.

I'd also have put the crossover in the door, or under the dash. Not a fan of them being visible.

Even with the tach in the console ur still gonna have to glance at it and take ur eyes off the road. I like the way the tach looks and i like the sihft light, but thats my opinion not urs. And for the tweeters, i should have mounted them higher but its too late now.

it would look tons better.....I know its a speaker and we are talking about looks when its all about sound but you asked lol

anyway if you took a thin piece of plexi or something equal to it and just made a backing plate or shroud for the new speaker to cover up the old grill would look better. You could wrap it in suede or something too? Still would get the effect you want but look better

so why DIDNT u mount them in the stock location?

do you not realize they make adapter's that would have put it right in there?

um yea i know they make adpaters and i had them behind the door panel at first. I liked them better on the outside

Looks like @!#$ mounted on the outside of the panels. If you wanted it outside, pods would've been the way to go. Otherwise, keep it on the inside.

Doesn't look professional at all. Sorry, but that just seems thrown together.
