Be careful driving in the snow!

It snowed like crazy tonight and the roads weren't salted, plowed, or taken care of at all. My motor shut off (I think I hit the brakes and locked the wheels up while I was in gear, which killed the motor), I lost power steering and most of my braking power, I skidded into a concrete barrier on the interstate, slid for a second, then ended up perpendicular to the lane!
I checked to make sure my passenger was okay. Then, I jumped out to inspect the damage, it seemed superficial, so I popped the hood, looked for any leaks, and satisfied that were none, I backed up off the barrier, and started driving home.

Wow, i drove my cav just a few ago. It is just now starting to freeze up in my area. I think I will be taking the truck tomorrow. News said Nashville had a few accidents. I left Cool Springs as soon as the sleet started. That gives you a reason to get an aftermarket bumper...

Glad it wasn't a bad accident.

i did somewhat the same, my apartment maintenance are supposed to salt the slope going down into our garage.. well they didnt a day it snowed real bad and they didnt leave any salt around for us to use.. i stopped to put the key in and open the garage at the top of our slope, then when i let off the brake there must have been a mini snow pile in front of my tires from me stopping and the path of least resistence for my car to go was sideways into the cement wall the door got kinda screwed up, some minor dents, creases and scratches. if my side moulding wasnt on my car.. it would be a lot worse.

Meh, at least it was just a Base bumper. Those are a dime a dozen. & I'm glad everybody is ok. Could have been a lot worse.

Yeah, snow is gay.

I'm glad it's just a base bumper too. I need to have my hood and trunk painted anyway, maybe I'll have a bumper to bring along to the shop too.

Tsk tsk no winter tires on that thing...that'll learn ya! Mind you they may not have made a difference anyway, but they're still SO worth it, they've saved my ass a few times.
