i admire your initiative, swapping parts off of 2 cars to a 3rd takes patience man.

i kinda wish you would keep going on the teal cav and then slowly mod the vert with new ideas and such...

car looks like its in pretty good shape man. great price too! of course if you have to replace the windshield and weatherstripping then youre going to more than double the price right there, but even if you do itll still be a good price. looks like the fender is fugged up too, but again thats an easy fix.

honestly you could swap over you rims and suspension from the teal car to this one and it would be golden. nice, subtle drop tops FTW! good luck with everything and keep us updated!

congrats!! we just picked up a 96 ls vert recently. 2.4 but ours is a 5spd.

can't wait to see the progress!

If I had a lot of extra money I would totally buy a vert and phase 3 LS Sport swap it.

The drop and black rims would look sweet on it the way it is, though.

no real plans for this car... as of yet .the only things im gonna do is transfer my hood and the coilover setup (gc-yellows) i think i may just keep the steelies with the caps on for now,and keep the ADrs on the teal cav.

today all i have done was take the nasty crappy mildew carpet out. ill have some pictures later tonite.

these are the ideas in mind so far:

03+ cavalier front ... ( oem cf hood ls sport front.)

00+ cavalier front.., and continue with the wings west lip kit

96+ cavalier front .. stock. with rk cf hood...

should look great with all parts swapped over.. paint it teal too!

someone help me out here .. all these lights come on while the car is on and stay on... and also the Rpms or temp gage dont work all fuses are good also . could it be the water in the car ? im so lost on this one

as for the gauges, maybe check the connection in the back of the cluster.

well i did a little more work on the vert.. turns out that the oil, coolent, and battery lights were on because of the airbag fuse being out. which also effected the rpm gauge and temp gauge. now i have to get over the temp and airbag light still...

lookin sweet. i still say swap the suspension and hood from the teal cav and then get rid of it. all you really need is the drop top anyway !!

whatever you do, keep the stock bumper. the 95-99 z bumper is the better looking than the 03 ls sport

Well it sounds like you found the problem, but just and FYI, the cluster will do exactly what you describe if it's not getting the serial data signal from the ECM. The tach and temp gauges and all the warning lights go through the serial data. The default of the circuit in the cluster is to illuminate most of them (for some reason, a couple of them go out 5 seconds after it recieves power from the ignition.
