Well I just started my new job, and I'm finally going to be able to get my car to a point where I'm satisfied with it. I started by ripping out everything half-assed, including re-wiring my entire sound system. I took out my old sub box and built a new one, as well as a new amp rack for my high/mid amp. I've got a number of new parts on the way to finish up the sound system. I'll be ditching the current setup of highs and mids (5.25, 6.5, and 6x9 RF Power coaxials) for a set of 5.25" Power components. That means, I'll be re-doing the speaker pods in the door panels, and I have something very cool planned for the crossovers.
Anyways, on to the pictures.
Exhaust was re-done with a Flowmaster 80 series camaro-style muffler 2.5" in/out. Much quieter, although it sounds like there may be a leak somewhere, probably that damn pacesetter ball joint. As far as tips, I have a set of chrome corvette tips, but I need to get a few 2.25" Y's for the ends of the pipes.
New floating amp rack, the other was broken when I had to remove my over-large sub box to get to my spare.
Cleaned up the fuses and power wires
Here's the new box I built. .75" MDF
dimensions are 14Hx18.75Wx15D port is 2.5x12.5x11D
Inside view of the port wall
Carpeting will be black to match the rest of my interior. Trunk carpet will be dyed black to match as well.
The monster 10" that's going back in: Rockford Fosgate Power Stage 2
More pictures will follow as more updates are made and parts start to come in. I have a lot of plans for Juliya, and hopefully they all turn out as well IRL as they look in my brain-case. Comments are much appreciated.
Much better than the exhaust setup I remember you having at one point. Good to see you're working on the car again.
Haha soooooo many brad- nails. Box looks great. If you hadn't carpeted it yet, I would put like 4 screws on each joint just for the hell of it. imo.
Haha yeah I went to town with the nail gun. I hammered the last one together, so I was kinda livin it up a little lol. Box isn't carpeted yet because I couldn't find the staple gun tonight. My dad and I looked for about an hour, but it was nowhere to be found.
Yeah it weighs 34 lbs without the box. it sounds great though!
I need to find and fix the leak first, but I'll try and do that tomorrow.

Why??? After the glue dries anything else(including those nails) is pointless.
Looks very good man. I like the exhaust setup and the box looks very nice. If i was you though, would have skipped on the terminals cup and either went direct wire or some screw terminals.....And that sub is definitly nice..iv always wanted to try one of the Rockfords
They are screw terminals
Since the box will be sitting over my spare, I want to be able to disconnect it without an allen key or too much hassle.
no i mean, screw in terminals, just as easy to disco, but just to small holes to drill in the box. Really, in a ported box makes little difference...but easier to install....
Either way, the whole thing is sexy
Ah okay I get ya. Yeah that would have been pretty cake, but I've already got the hole cut for the cup (obviously) I'm really excited to get this car to a clean state again.
Plans include:
Lower it (FINALLY)
Stock GT kit
strip and refinish wheels either gloss black or silver
shave wing/antenna (maybe gascap if i feel so motivated)
repaint interior black with either red or charcoal accents (with an actual paint gun this time)
fiberglass somethin up for my GPS unit
recover headliner in black vinyl
recover rear deck without 6x9s
maybe glass in my 5.25 coax in the backseat
finishing touches on my evo hood (no it's still not done lol)
more suspension upgrades (k-brace, subframe brace, rear strut brace, maybe sway bars)
once all the body mods are taken care of, the car will be stripped and resprayed, hopefully with Ferrari F50 red.
mintt...... this gonna be good ..
If you hear an exhaust leak you have 2 options.... 1 turn the sub up and well noise is gone
or 2. i would really check that pacesetter ball joint. notorious for leaking. doubt it can be in the back with the amount of weld they layed haha
other than that good luck on the car!
Will the tips be tucked up under the car so you cant see any piping?
I've had problems with the ball joint leaking before, I assume it happened after they cut off my old stuff and the weight of the pipe was put on the joint. As far as the tips go, I'll be cutting off part of the pipes and tuckin em up in there real good
My whole outlook on this car has changed, so I'm going for a very clean look.
lookin good. ever install those black seats?
coming back in 2008...
looks like you got a nail in your right rear tire

Maybe once I save a few grand to blow. That will probably be around summertime, and if my tranny is still going good, I'll go GMSC with some forged internals probably. If not, rebuild trans and just GMSC
I loved the way your car looked when I saw it at the Ritters meet a while back, except for the exhaust. Good luck with everything hope it turns out how you want it. Cant wait to see it when you get it done. If you want any pieces done in carbon let me know.
