well, despite my better judgement, i decided to do a new mod to my car, despite the fact i think its a POS, but since it cost me nothing, i did it anyways. The good: it improves airflow to the engine, and lets it breath better
the bad: well, it involved heavy body mods
yeah so basically, there was traffic, stop and go, well they stopped, i decided not to for half a second and it was too late before i decided i should
so, anyways, i know just about anything is fixable/salvageable, but is it even worth it?
the radiator support is pretty fubared, as is half of the side behind the fender
i would have to get a new
hood
fender
radiator
headlight and corner light
battery
and various other bits and pieces, as well as getting all that metal pulled out or replaced
im thinking its definitely not worth it, but my dad seems to think so
opinions?
Yeah that's totaled, and not really worth fixing. You could probably pick up another base model cav for less than what it would cost you to fix yours. Good luck to you tho.
Wow, sucks to see more and more getting wrecked up.
Basically insurance wise, or in their eyes that car is totalled. With that much structural damage, such as the core support, and in front of the strut tower you're looking at a lot of time and money to pull that straight and weld in a new core support, not to mention what I might not be seeing.....................
Sorry to see bro.
Maybe you will pay better attention to traffic or not follow so close from now on.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!

sorry i forgot to add the disclaimer that i didnt need to be told what i should have done or what i should do from now on
even my dad refrained from doing that, thanks
anyways, i am not really that sad to see the car go, it was pretty much a piece, altho it got me from a to b
i just wish i had waited to get rid of it that way haha
bright side of it...you didnt get hurt or killed. strip it of anything worth a dime and start new man
yea just get something new man
stop and go traffic and that much damage happened?
I have my money on a pickup or suv is what he rearended
it's not that big of a deal to fix it, if you know where to get parts at and know somebody with a frame machine i could get everything for probably $1,000 at the most and thats including paint
yeah, this is why the cavs are rated so poorly on offset crashes
rear-ended a ridgeline, by the time i hit it, i was going about 15 mph max
we would go to about 30-35, slow down considerably, go up to about 30-35 again, slow down, etc.
slammed on brakes, bumper went under his, and thats all she wrote
