well i was switching my winter tires to my girl friends cavy today since were taking it to saskatoon tomorrow but i decided to throw on the 19"s from my other sunfire that im selling just to see what they look like...
what do you think? I personally think they are WAY to low profile ... i think the guy who i bought the car from with these on got the wrong size of tire it just looks stupid i think..
the rim is a 9" wide rim and the tires are 215/35/19 id say the proper size would have been at least 235 if not 245/35/19.. as there is part of the rim sticking out all around (kinda looks like the tire isnt seated right on the rim even though it is)

Those look really good on there...Just need some bigger tires.
we always see the one you trying to get rid of. but where your boost fed baby.
that always puts a smile on my face.
you need some air and those would look killer!
NO SIG FOR YOU!
looks awesome. a lot of gap tho. the rubber does look too thin.

my carDomain updated 11/5/07 I've got premium. Yes I do. I've got premium. How 'bout you?
i bet she runs a lot slower with them bastards on there eh! can you say 60 lbs for rims/tires? lol
they look like the correct size to me..... 215/35/19 is the right size for 19" wheels on our cars
i think theres one more size to that will work
but thats one reason why im thinking of downgrading to 18's, i want a bigger tire while keeping my odometer right

id go with 225/25/19s personally.
you can defianty get away with 245s though Id think, as long as you dont go too low, but you'll probably have to go with a 245/30/19
I have 265/35/22 on my car and theres quite a bit of sidewall. the rims are 22x9.5, so id think u can for sure fit a 245 on a 9inch rim...

the second number is the sidewall height, or as you put it profile. i don't know why everyone is still mentioning increasing the first number of the tire. that would be the width.
Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
The sidewall is a percentage of the width, in mm.. larger width with the same sidewall rating will affect its height. Thats why, lol

lol the silver one is the boosted one... the rims are from my black one im selling

actually for 19's they arent bad.. but then i never drove the car with them on.. just put them on to see... since the roads are all coverd with snow and ice
and yea i see a few of you agree with me on the "looks not so good" part... it would look a bit different i think if i had my summer front end on but still over all i dont think i would ever put them on my car... i am how ever in search of a nice 18" rim that is 9" wide so i can get some 245s

I was just going to say adding width will add some height to the tire

they look awesome on that car... but your right, tires are way too small!
you are both right, but the width should not be the main concern over the sidewall..

The sidewall looks fine. Dont know wtf u guys are talking about. Lower the car and it will look like every other jbody on 19s, its the wheel gap thats making it look goofy. Going from 215 to the normal 225 on a 19 inch rim is only gonna add about 1/4" of extra sidewall
^^^^^^ Here in Canada with the @!#$ty roads we have, 1/4" of extra tire sidewall can make a huge difference in having a decent ride or busting your @ss all way long.

exactly, point proven

I think the guy who sold you the rims is a tool, the tire size is right just your info is wrong, Im going to say they are 19x8 because a 19x9 isnt even made lol. 19x8 5x100 either that or you have 19x9.5 which you dont cause the rim/tire would be hitting your struts or sticking out about 2" past you fenders

oops sorry that was my mistake... its the 8" width dont know why i put 9" ...
but yea i dont care what people say but when there is a huge portion of the rim sticking out past the tire that is the wrong size.. a 215/35/19 tire does NOT fit properly on a 8" wide rim.. it litterly looks like the tire is not even seated on the rim at all, there is a nother lip ... I will take a pic to show what i mean if you guys still think 215/35/19's fit on a 8" wide rim

215's are to narrow..a 225 will make all the differnce
