component setup for now
Thursday, December 13, 2007 10:01 AM
well now that im livin with my wife in her parents basement till we find a house, I couldnt finish this project the way i wanted so i quickly glassed most of it, filler where needed, no sandin, primed and found paint that came close to match. also used splatter spray paint and truck bed liner to get the stock texture. I hope we move out so i can finish it.

as far as sound goes the imaging is great tweeters are directional and decent midbase without an amp, im gettin an amp for x-mas so it will all be re-wired up later and the crossovers will be in the trunk or somewhere else.

I bet that sounds good as hell

I can definetly see where you didn't have a lot of time to fully complete it to a flawless finish, but I'm sure it'll do for now. What brand speakers are those?

Cool a stereo install!!!!!! Seems like the only thing ever posted is engine work and GAY worthless pictures of uninstalled parts.

Not bad. I'm sure it sounds decent. What are your plans to smooth it out? What amp did you ask Santa for?

the speakers are MD sound cheap brand from overstock.com but the sound tons better the sony ones i had, i got a powerbank 1000 watt 4 ch less than 50 off ebay but whatever get the job done for now, i would love to get infinity kappas in there but that would destroy my bank account. when i re-work it its just gonna be tons of filler all over till its smooth and i need more glass on the insides for strength.

LMAO!!

If I was a judge I'd deduct point. Not only is it poorly exucuted, but you your putting crappy speakers in for looks. Sorry, but not diggin'. Do it right, or don't do it at all!

Sorry, but that's just hacked. The placement/aiming isn't well thought out (if at all), and it looks like you took all of about a couple of hours to throw it together. Seriously, a little more time, not a ton more, would have yielded much better results. You have some good ideas, but you need to slow down just a little bit. Sure, your situation might not allow for a full blown project, but if you had the time to do what you did, you could have taken enough time to do it with a little more quality work.

they were tested tons of times for where i wanted them aimed, and ive been workin on them for about 3 months doin what i can everyday, but i really couldnt do much at all so i decided to do a quick job of it and put it back together for now. trust me when i got my own place it will be finished right. the HU is a dual xdvd8130 and a 7" inovatech indash screen

Why does anyone do engine work to a 4 cylinder? The speed limit is 55mph, you can turn the stereo up as loud as you want.

it looks decent, love the colour of the speakers and the idea just the finish needs some work. Also ignor the people who say its to much nothing is too much if you like the way it sounds and looks then great.
