I've been seeing a lot of these 99' sunfires with the crome wheelcovers and that different logo. I've been looking for anothee sunfire for my sister (since she just got her license), and I actually got close to two of these... both red with the factory cd, sunroof. chrome hubcaps and that logo plastered on the side, headrests, and backseat. One had a GT bumper on the front. I've also seen a black one on the road, and one that color green but in sedan form. Can anyone clarify if this was a legit factory option or a dealer gimmick like the "z22"? I'm really curious!

Yes, it is the "sun and sound" package which included sunroof and a better sound system and of course some clever logs... Also, as far as I remember, its the first and only year you could get a sunfire in silver with the 95-99 body style (only in SE trim). If anyone has a silver GT pre 2000 I'll stand corrected but I've never seen one... but I digress.

Never seen that color before, a buddy of mine had one just like that only silver, and he was told they only came in silver, with special badges and sunroof. Silver looks pretty good on those 95-99's too might I add.

Silver like that? It does look good in that color.


Anyway... thanks for clearing that up, I was really interested. However... what about that sedan I saw? It was that same green but with the different logos and the chrome hubcaps. I didn't think that sedans had sunroofs as options if it does have the "sun and sound" package. As for the premium audio... was that a monsoon system like the 00+ models?
