Well Saturday Nov 17th was the Importfest car show in Toronto this weekend.
It was a great show, and a great turn out. I still liked the show being held in the Dome (Rogers Center) instead, but this show was still a great show to attend.
It was great meeting a bunch of guys from the j-body community finally too. Joey man, great to finally meet you bud, I still wished I got to see your car. I guess next year we'll finally hit up some shows together.
I snapped some pics of the car under the nice lighting. At 6 pm they lowered the lights, it kinda sucked since I didn't buy power (but I didnt feel like shelling out $140.00 to run my equipment). Just way too much cash for power for a one day show.
at around just before midnight they started the awards...and yup...leaving the domestics last to be called as usual...oh well. haha.
I ended up taking home a 3rd place trophy from the show, I got some good exposure and some sweet shots by a professional photographer who will be emailing me the pictures during the week. Once he sends me those shots I'll post those ones up too.
Here are some pics of her all cleaned, waxed and out on the floor.
and two interior shots...not sure if I have posted my door panels before:
The top portion of the panel has the blue paint fading into the carbon fiber
I know Darren (Phewed), Justin (Bummrz) and Joey (Joey Baggs) took some shots of the car too...I'm sure they'll be posting some pics up too....right guys
.
haha.
Well the car is finally put together again, and it felt great to drive down to the show with everything installed and up and running once again. My plans for winter are still undecided what route to go towards but I do believe some big breaks and engine work will take place....or nothing at all! haha. I'll keep the ideas flowing though, but finally it is time to take a break from the car and enjoy my spare time for once
Love it man...keep it up! I just love those colors together.
Holy @!#$. That is a hot ass car!! I wish I was there and congrats on the trophy!!

5 seconds to find another street...
so very very nice Vince only one thing I still suggest is getting one piece headlights and it would be pure sex on wheels.

Thanks guys
Well the reations were great by people. A good 85% of people called my car a cavalier, 10% thought it was an Integra or another import, and the other 5% were confused like hell what it was. HAHA It was great.
A lot of people asked how much it costed to get the widebody and interior done, asking if I paid 20,000 on it. I told them I did it myself at home in the garage and they were all very impressed. It was great seeing peoples reactions.
Well I would go with a one piece headlight, however it will not fit. I had to extend the brackets outwards by 1 inch on the corner lenses since I widened the fenders outwards. The one piece would have the corner lenses sit too far back into the body of the car.
Yeah, it was a Sunfire/Cavalier class.
2nd place was a 2nd gen cavy
1st place was a 3rd gen cavy.
I didn't snap any pics, but I'm sure others have some.
i love it more and more everytime i see it...amazing work.

Dear baby jeses, thank you for making his car so amazing...
is installing a short shifter anywhere on the To-Do list?
otherwise, thats is the ONLY thing i could really see as a possible suggestion.... everything else was amazingly well planned and executed
jeas. i wish i could go to a show that had a j-body class. thats insane!!!
you made it man, hows it feel to know you spent all that time getting it going and see it sitting there all beautified, clean and sparkling?? who needs drugs when you've got pride eh?
amazing job, i cant begin to describe what i think, the words just arent there.
HOLY SHIZICE!!!!! that car is so gangsta!!! MY CAR IS NOW FOR SALE CAUSE THERE IS NO POINT!!!! damn that thing is sweet big props for all the hard work!!!!!!!
Loving the exterior (minus the cheap looking lights). Personally I would like to see a stock version of the same taillight on the car.
