nice! aren't your rotors on backwards? thought the top of the slots needed to hit the pads first.. but im a newb to brakes/suspension so i dont know lol
dont get me wrong, they do indeed look good. but IMO the black rims really made ur car look amazing, and more 'bat-mobile-ish' definatly get some black on those wheels though.
How much for the old rims?
Be nice to me
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
Still looking great John!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wtf is your problem you can't change the turbosport wheels sell them before you wreck them!!!
looks good on there, I can't wait to see them black.
btw is there something weird going on with the valve stems (or what appears to be lack of... it looks like its just a hole) or is it just the angle of the pic?
wow, ur old rims were nice, but when u get these painted, even sicker
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
WoW I wished I would of seen them up for sale. I've always loved those wheels. I missed out on the SSR's too.
Looks good and I can't wait to see them redone.
I like it better now! yes it sure does look like Sunfire Turbosport!
Looks great! got a front side shot?
There is something weird going on with the valve stems. The actual valve stem is on the inner rim, its got one of those solid aluminum screw type stems, which is located directly behind where that hole is. I'm thinking that I'll just try to locate 4 more of those 12-point torx bolts and cover it up like the rest, rather than try to get an angled solid valve stem and all that unnecessary jazz. I threw these on to make sure I had proper clearance all around and all that, I thought that these wheels would give me more between the front calipers and spokes, but believe me when I tell you that I could barely slide a piece of paper in between, and that is with a 15mm spacer. I was hoping that these wheels were 2 piece so I could just unbolt the face right off without worrying about dismounting the tires, but they are 3piece, so I was thinking maybe its possibly to rig these up in big C clamps to keep the inner and outer sandwiched together while I take the face off? A good wheel shop around here quoted me $125 each to dismount and coat the wheels, but I'm not looking to tack on another $500 to these wheels. Anywho, glad you guys like them, and they are definitely going black in the near future as soon as I figure out said dilemma.

Well you could just sell them if you don't want to deal with it., but since you work at a dealership just dismount them there. I think the reason why the price is so high is cause most places charge $90-100 a wheel to powdercoat them, and I think most places have a policy that all the bolts/nuts all have to be replaced. So I think that might be why they are so much. Also if you try to do them though the dealership it might give you a better price, but they know those rims cost a ton to start with.
I work at a dealership's bodyshop, which is located separate from the dealer by a couple miles, and we get all the junk equipment that the dealership replaces, so our tire machine is a dinosaur and I wouldn't touch these wheels with that machine, all the contact points are metal and the lip arm tends to jump off the rim and onto the face. Only good for regular profile tires. I could probably get them done for cheap, but I was just hoping to avoid having to do that. If you check out this vid that Viper just sent me, I'm thinking that I shouldn't have a problem with my little C-clamp vise idea.

Umm to be honest i say a dark gunmetal would look better then gloss black, but either way the car looks good john.

Are these the ones off ebay for $599?
I think the silver looks good since it matches the calipers.

No those are not the 18" SSR's. I really wanted those, but no they listed these without Cavalier or Sunfire in the title. So I missed out on this one since I never looked at everything.
sweet looking pics

i did a little photoshopping. changed the color of the wheel face to black. one with a black center cap and one with a silver center cap. also, i hope you don't mind but i tweaked your car just a bit.
^Well you messed up on the rims... the outside of the rim would have to be coated too. Leave the chrome nuts, but the parts next to the spokes needs to be black also.
