Twin Charged Dyno numbers are in....

I FINALLY!! got it tuned ahah its been for ever... Any way we had it at 251whp @ 8.5psi... but that was on a pretty aggressive tune for a stock engine and a daily driver so we bumped up the boost and turned the timing down and smoothed every thing out so it sits at 248whp @6200rpm and 11.5psi and 238lbs/ft of torque @ 4900 rpm.

It is slightly different then when i ran in the blue car.. but with the less aggressive tune I am not seeing quite as fat of a power band... but that can be changed by going back to the stock 2.8" supercharger pulley... as i am running the 3.0" pulley right now.. Although it still like to break the tires loose when i hit the upper RPM's, so i will see how it does at the track tonight with the 3.0" pulley...

Only other problem we could not solve at all on the dyno was at idle it hunts all over and dies... and we checked every thing... originally thought it would be simple like the IAC not reading right because of my TB spacer but it ran fine like this in my blue car, and the only other thing we can think of is my 1st O2 sensor is pretty far from the turbo.. and the guy who tuned it said he thinks its because my 1st 02 sensor is pretty far from my turbo and he thinks if i bring it as close as i can (like 3-4" away from the outlet of the turbo) it should solve it... so ill give that a try because every thing else runs VERY smooth..

any way onto the dyno sheet... its not the best but you can get the idea... it was done on a Mustang dyno as well... not sure if they give higher or lower numbers but I am happy for now...

nice can't wait to see what you're running!!

that thing is nuts so when you uped the boost you didn't see an overall power gain you so saw a low and mid range power increase nice.

yea i cant wait either.. i just hope they are open tonight here... its the last night of the year for racing but its suppost to be a nice "warm" 8 degrees out side so tracktion is going to suck but ill see how i do... ahah that and my B&M short shifter broke on me last night ripping around ahah so im back to the stock bus style shifter which feels weird now..
i was doing 15.1 @94mph with 153whp... so with another 95whp and LOTS more torque i hop to hit a low-mid 13 and id be more then happy

well when i upped the boost i turned the timing down... if i kept the timing the same as i had it when i hit 250hp with 8 psi but now with 11 ahah i would have been at or damn close to 300whp... aka BOOM on stock bottom end lol ... but my going to smaller pulleys it brings my power up to peak alot quicker and bring my low end torque up... i could probably hit 248hp at about 4500rpm and raise my torque up a bit just by swaping to the 2.8" pulley...

what do you mean you don't know about the first twin charged??? i have yet to hear about another Jbody doing it?? i wish more would ahah jk but i dont know of any others that have done it before me... some one tried to tell me they new some one who put the RSM vortec s/c'er with a turbo which would be the dumbest thing ever but thats the only other one i have heard of

very nice numbers, im thinking theres more in the setup tho dear lord what does this thing sound like rolling down the road?! i bet its heaven on earth, freakn s/c whine and turbo spool. wow i think i would nut in my shorts.

that kinda power would be enough for me lol 3.0 pulley on an m45?!!? damn.. that thing cant be contributing much.

ahah yea now with either the new tune or the full 3" exhaust with the F-body magna flow muffler, you can definatly hear the s/c'er whine as well as the turbo spooling up and then the blow off valve ... but really all the s/c'er is doing is pulling the air threw the turbo faster then it normaly would.. but not really boosting much... thats why my power band is kind small for my set up any way... when i get more time ill play with the other pulleys i have and see what it does..

thank you... you should do it... its not that hard to do the turbo kit and there is LOTS of adjustability you can do to your top end or your low end with both on there... i did have it up around the 280whp marker on a few runs with really no effects from the s/c'er being on there as far as intake temps and every thing went, but i need this engine to last so i have to keep it at a mild 248hp but it just shows that so far the s/c'er has not been a restriction what so ever so far

no problem man... but it sounds 100x meaner now... when you saw it, it was WAY out of tune and had a blocked cat (it was so bad i could only make 190hp on the dyno with it so out it came) that and i was only at 150hp when i was in saskatoon... ill be back to saskatoon with it for x-mas with the nice new tune...
