First Car show since 2004 (not 56k friendly)

Well I hadn't entered SnazziZ24 into any car show since the J-Body Bash in 2004, so I figured now was as good a time as any. This show was a very small local show. I think there were like 8 cars entered, 7 were from the club I just joined. So we all went home with trophies, so that was cool. I got 2nd place in wild and my wife got 1st place in stock with the yellow LS (which is now her's since we had to sell the Jetta) Anyway, on to the pics:

Lauren with the NuprinCav

SnazziZ24

The night before I opened my trunk to find this:

I decided that this isn't good for car shows...so I made a system For some reason people didn't find this as funny as I did. they would see the setup from a distance and then walk closer...when they were close enough to tell it was fake, they would get this pissed off look on their face and walk off. The judge sat there and scratched his head a few times before figuring what to right about the trunk. He told me that at least it was original.

This is Kip's Car (it took 3rd in stock...which is pretty funny cause its not stock at all)...it was left to him and his wife by his brother-in-law when he passed away a few months ago. If you know someone is GA who wants a good convertible eclipse shoot me an email...its for sale

The new owner of the Jetta was there (it took 2nd in stock)

Jody's Car (Kip's Wife) (it took 3rd in Wild and all it has is Racing seats and wheels pretty much...really should have been in stock)

Josh's Eclipse (1st place under construction) Its pretty much a sound comp car right now...that's what all those trophies are from

Joey's 02 LS Sport...once owned by an org member from Florida...picked it up from a Dealer in GA...lots of mods for a low price...nice find really

All and All I had a great time...I had forgotten how much fun car shows can be. My wife was happy to be back at a show too...she told me a few times that day how much she had missed going to shows. To top it off, she got first in her new car...she hasn't really been happy about giving up the Jetta for my Cavalier (who can blame her for that?) but I think she was proud to take home a trophy

Thanks,
~Kyle

I sent a pic to a friend of mine from my camera phone and his response was "That looks hot...what kind of subs are those?" He about died when I told him they were cut out of paper I owe a lot of the work to my wife...she helped me figure out the correct scale using pictures from the internet and my parents AutoCad and Plotter to get them to at least be the right size.

Wow your wife's LS is amazingly clean. I'm just sad to see your Z24 without air. I always loved your car but now it,s missing something lol.

Your audio system is great, I guess I might upgrade mine too. lol

Thanks for all the kind words I think I miss the air ride more than any of you! lol I find myself making the pssshhhh sound sometimes when I park...I used to love the looks I got when that car slammed. My plan is to actually bag the Nova next...but the kit I want is $7000, so I'm thinking maybe its time just to bag the Z again.

Yeah it was dead in the water for a while because I was having cranking issues, trunk issues, and door issues. The cranking was cured by pulling fuses from the fuse box and cleaning the corrosion off the contacts. The trunk issue is fixed right now by a long piece of speaker wire tired around the trunk release handle and the door was fixed by pulling the handle rod off the little plastic guide...pops every time now

Yeah I was proud of her...she busted her ass for about an hour with quick detail when we got to the show. And I think we all miss the air....I had other plans...but its looking more and more like I'm just going to have to slam it again

Well if you are talking about the trunk supports it is cause of where the top comes down you don't have all the room for the normall setup...
