that MR2 officialy looks awesome... if the rears are the same width as the fronts, or if the suspension isnt heavily modded, it's officaly a waste of a kick ass car.... and that scoop over the roof, i hope he knows, does NOTHING but send air flowing in the wrong direction through the engine bay....

ya the mr2 is a sweet "looking" car but its not a turbo one, which saddens me but ya know what can u do. he is trying to sell it, its his first and only "show" type car, all others have been performance oriented, and he cant stand the looks and wanna race mentality he gets from others, and just has to say its not what u think it is lol.
also ya im sick of all the official threads ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i officially want to put my foot through someones a$$

that 240 is @!#$ sexy....and why does teh MR2's scoop send the air going in the engine bay the wrong direction?
the design of an MR2 has the air flowing from under the car and up. the air coming across the engine actualy exits through the vents on the engine cover. putting a scoop up there has been proven to be 100% useless and only for looks. It is taking air from atop the car and sending it down into the engine bay where air is already naturaly flowing in a totaly different direction. It has no posative effects what so ever.
If you ever get into MR2s at all and research the Trunk Mount Intercooler set ups, you will see some people put a subaru style scoop under the wing backwards and have a scoop under the car that sucks air in.. the air is just flowing more naturaly that way. with the aerodynamics of the car, you wouldnt get nearly as much fresh air if it was supposed to flow from the top down through. Another very effective way the TMIC works too, and IMO the best looking and functioning way is to remove the material between the tails, have the intercooler at a 45 degree angle in the trunk and build a shroud that goes from the undercarriage scoop, around the IC to flow up and into it, and then a shroud around the top of the IC and flowing directly out the back of the car between the tails.
ANYWHO, this thread wasn't about the MR2, but I'm sure the OP doesn't mind lol.

I love looking at progress threads, or just someone posting a car that has not been seen alot. But there are ALOT of poeple who post so often it floods th boards with BS.
Also kinda stupid in my opinion when people post pics from every angle of the car at least 3-4 times in one thread. Geez people. Post a couple of pics of your updates and if poeple want to see what every square inch of the car looks like and every hour of the day, post a link to your website for them to check it out.
